🤍 A Goodbye to Fèileacà n 🦋 💜
Fèileacà n began with just ten little children and a whole lot of love. What started as a small idea, a tribute to my mum and the butterfly that symbolised her, slowly grew into something much bigger — a place filled with connection, play, laughter, and heart.
Over the years, Fèileacà n became more than a preschool. It became a community, a little family. From morning and afternoon sessions to two busy mornings, we watched it bloom — not just in numbers, but in spirit. Every day was filled with fun, giggles, hugs, tears, and triumphs.
To the children who came through our doors, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your hearts. Thank you for the joy, the imagination, the mischief, and the magic. You made Féileacà n what it was — a place where being a child was celebrated in all its wild, messy, beautiful glory.
To the parents and families, for letting us share in your child’s early years — thank you. It’s been an honour to walk part of the journey with you, to witness milestones, comfort worries, and share proud moments.
To my incredible staff — Maria, Michelle, Mairead, Regina, Siobhán and my previous staff gone through, to the students especially over the last month who gave your time and care — Sophie, Noreena, Ella, and many others — your dedication, your love for children, and your friendship have carried this place through so much. The way you’ve worked together, supported one another, and held space for this ending has been deeply moving.
Closing Féileacà n is not easy. The last few months have been filled with emotion — sorting, packing, remembering, tears, letting go. But through it all, there has been immense pride, and deep gratitude.
Thank you to the club for giving FĂ©ileacĂ n a home. Thank you to every child, every family, every helper along the way, Miriam, Derek for always being willing to give a hand when needed. Most importantly thank you to my family and friends for all the support throughout the years.
Féileacán means butterfly — and just like a butterfly, this place has always been about transformation, freedom, and beauty. Though the doors may close for good, the love, fun and memories will stay.
So, here’s to Fèileacà n — for the moments, the magic, the messy play, the friendships, the growth, and the love.
