Firstly I want to acknowledge that many readers are suffering with far worse illnesses then me and really I do not want to diminish what they are going through by reviewing this product in relation to my constipation but I thought it might help people in a similar position to me.

However the severity of how it has impacted upon my life over the last 6 weeks has been no joke, I've lost over 2 stone from loss of appetite and now weigh what I did in secondary school.

It was all brought on through me being catheterised and I was not given a proper explanation of the harm stimulant laxatives can do and just told to go on them whilst it was in.

Coming off them has been worse then the illness itself with constant constipation destroying my mental health , despite being put on macrogel 4000 I literally wasn't able to have a normal bowel movement for 5 weeks, the macrogel 4000 basically did nothing and I was up walking the country lanes at 3 and 4am in the morning to such a point where my mental health nearly shut down.

I already had a great vegetarian diet, rich in dietary fibre the problem was I didn't feel like eating a thing it basically felt like there was a hard rock in my stomach and I rapidly lost 2 stone through lack of eating.

Out of pure desperation I started to look at alternative therapies other then diet to laxatives and over the last week came across oxygenated magnesium supplements with some pretty positive reviews I though I might try as I had nothing to lose , having not had a normal or non stimulant laxative bowel movemt in close on 6 weeks.

I found The well being clinic offering Global healing oxygenated magnesium for colon cleansing and called Edel who couldn't have been more helpful, there was no hard sell and she seemed to genuinely care about my story.

She took the time to explain the product and the best way to use it.

I only started the treatment 2 days ago this is my third day so can't speak for long term sustainability and I opted for a dose meant for a more complete colon cleanse as I figured after that length of time there was going to be a lot of horrible stuff in my colon.

The oxygenated magnesium breaks up the deposit in your colan so what ever comes out is always going to be loose.

The first night before I took them I was literally doubled over in agony from constipation so I actually took 4, during the night there was a lot of gurgling noises coming from my stomach and I really didn't think it was going to work.

However in the next morning I slowly began to pass some very small stools initially, it seemed to have a limited success but something was better then nothing, the following night I actually took 6 tablets, as I had a theory that my colon was probably so full of junk from the last 5 weeks of incomplete empyting that it needed something stronger, in the morning I passed more waste probably then I had in the combined last 4 weeks using allopathic damaging laxatives.
I continued to pass during the day
Yes it was loose but not uncontrollably bad like stimulant laxative gives you

The relief I have at the moment is beyond words I was literally crying my eyes out, yesterday and today is the first time in over 4 weeks that I had the desire to eat a meal, simply I felt I had room for it.
Last night I reduced the dose by 1 to 5 and only took 3 this morning I know this is still far above and beyond the recommendation but my situation was severe I literally felt like I had a hard football in my stomach for four weeks.
I am not naive enough to suggest for one minute these will solve everyones constipation problems and for how long I don't know but long term reviews are very positive.

I just wanted to share to say many people with bad constipation have been helped by this oxidised magnesium and because it is not easily absorbed most of it is flushed out in your urine meaning it's generally able to be used long term safely.

My hope is that this is the next logical and safe step to completely taper off any form of laxative it's certainly has been far more affective then macrogel 4000 for me so far.
Edel was kind enough and patient enough to speak to me on the phone a couple of times and explain things, the fact you can't overdose on these is reassuring. Though the higher then stated dose gave me diarrhea, it's better then it being sat poisoning my system in my colon.
What I have learnt so far in my short time using oxypowder.
Be prepared for gurgling noises in your stomach after taking
Have plenty of hydration on hand it made me really thirsty, probably as I went very high on the dose initially.
It does cause very loose stools and when you need to go it can be urgent this might improve with lower doses.
Ive taken both during the day and night it's seems to be more effective early on a morning.
