As a nutritional therapist I work with people to enhance their health and general wellbeing through diet and nutrition. Using my specialist knowledge to conduct a holistic assessment of clients' nutritional requirements, and then suggesting specific changes to their diet in an attempt to prevent or alleviate illness and promote good health. As a nutritional therapist I work with patients with chro
nic health conditions in collaboration with other qualified healthcare professionals. Nutritional Therapy is a complimentary therapy and is often used alongside conventional medicine. It involves analysing a person’s diet and tailoring it according to their individual needs. By taking account of the patients history of illness and treatments already, it aims to remove toxins , nourish the cells of the body and increase cellular energy so that the body can function properly. In November 2014 I closed my shop in order to focus my attention on my clinical practice. I now operate my clinics from new premises which offers a spacious and welcoming environment. My clinics in Longford are on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and in Cavan on Mondays. I have also written two children’s books, one which has recently been published, titled “Why Can’t I Run”. This is a heartwarming story about a little boy and his dog and their journey to better health. My second book is titled “Why does my tummy hurt?”, and helps children to understand the journey of food through the digestive system and how what they eat impacts on their health and vitality.
