🤔 Wondering what path your teenager will take after secondary school?

Maybe they’re considering an apprenticeship. In general, these can last 2 to 4 years and include:

💰 On-the-job training with an employer, and
📚 Off-the-job training in an education centre

Some people prefer traditional craft apprenticeships, such as:

🧑‍🔧 Plumbing
🪚 Carpentry
🔌 Electrical
🚗 Motor mechanics

Other people choose new apprenticeships, such as:

💻 ICT
👩‍💻 Software development
🏦 Finance
🛎️ Hospitality
👩‍🌾 Farming
👨‍🍳 Commis chef
📣 Digital marketing

You can apply for an apprenticeship if you’re 16 or older.

With Christmas less than a fortnight away, the weeks ahead are busy for most people, and can be overwhelming for many more. Dark and dreary days don’t help, but the good news is that the shortest day of the year is only 9 days away!!

It’s important to look after your health and wellbeing at what can be a stressful time of the year. Small things that can make a big difference - taking a walk, connecting with others, giving yourself time to rest – whatever works for you.

Take care of yourself in the run up to Christmas Day.......
