😫 8 Ways to Tackle a Sore Throat

Lots of us are succumbing to sore throats lately. While a sore throat can be uncomfortable and irritating, to say the least, it's usually nothing serious and will clear up by itself.

Most sore throat are caused by a virus, and so they cannot be treated with antibiotics. You can manage the symptoms with some over-the-counter remedies and taking some additional precautions - check out our graphic for our 8 Top Tips.

A severe and long-lasting sore throat may be a sign of Covid-19, strep or tonsillitis. Please consult a GP* if:

▪️a sore throat is accompanied by a very high temperature
▪️a child or baby with sore throat is not drinking enough or has dry nappies
▪️you have a sore throat and weak immune system
▪️your sore throat lasts longer than 2 weeks with no improvement.
