WEEK 4 completed ✔️

Nothing to write home about but personally massive for me since my injury and operation a few months ago left me broken physically and mentally. 😭

Strength and confidence up 🔥 just a small step in the right direction. Starting point four weeks ago is pic 3.

Looking forward to the progress over the next 4 weeks..

Week 4 of the ‘come back’ complete ☑️

Nothing to write home about, just a small step but massive for me personally after injury’s and surgery last October left me broken physically and mentally 😭
So, made some big decisions to change things in my life and it took a while but I feel like I’m in a great place now only 4 weeks of really nailing it. Looking forward to the next 4 weeks to improve on this. Strength and confidence coming back 💪

Sounds simple right? and logically it is but when I say losing fat with
No magic formula's
No starvation
No giving up your social life
No running on the treadmill
No spending 3 hours at a time in the gym

And what's actually needed 👇
Self discipline
Consistently showing up
Making smarter choices
Planning your week
Tracking

Its a cliche but 'nobody can do it for you' is the truth. A coach is a fantastic thing to have for guidance, support and accountability but you have to do the work and show up.

January is long! and there will be days that you just don't feel in the mood, but please, STOP letting your 'mood' dictate your outcome. Do you feel in the mood to go to work every morning? 😂 but you still go.

Make your plan and commit to it 👊

Lessons I learned from being under 10% body fat!

1. Nobody cares 😂 (except you)- if you’re aiming for a goal make sure you’re doing it for YOU and for the right reasons. People don’t care about what you’re doing as much as you think. Know your Why!

2. Other areas of your life will suffer. Social events ❌ you will have to miss them or go and not enjoy them because you’re restricted and won’t have much energy. Yes we all want to be ‘shreditor’ but what’s the cost for family and friends, your mental health and happiness.

3. Don’t rush the process - If you are looking at losing body fat. I did and lost a lot of muscle and strength. Lesson learned 👊 Losing 1-2 pounds per week is more than enough so don’t buy into 6 weeks shreds it’s just not long enough for you to get sustainable results

4. Find balance - there is a sweet spot in between low body fat and enjoying life. Nobody really needs to be under 10% body fat. Ideal ranges will depend on age but a good ball park figure is 15% for men and 20% for women. You can still look AMAZING at these levels 😍 and it’s healthier

I’m so happy that January is coming to an end 🙏

It’s a month where people put huge pressure on themselves and I’m no different. I have some goals I’m working towards and I thought I’d achieve them this month. I didn’t 😂

Anyone else??

but that’s ok because I have made progress!

Super busy professionally and 4 birthdays in the family has made for a busy month.

But, I burned myself out and my body told me as I woke up with a cold sore and man flu 😭

Felt like crap. But Instead of feeling like a failure I’m resetting now for the month of February and my priorities are mental and physical health and well-being.

If you put yourself first everyone else wins because you’ll be the best version yourself.

So take breaks when you need to, stand back and smell the roses. The stress we put on ourselves is not worth it.

“Progress not perfection” is my aim for February

Instead of saying ‘I have to train’ say ‘I get to train’

Today I had a conversation with a man who can’t train in the gym at all. He had an accident in work a few years ago which resulted in neck and back injuries. Now he can’t get through the night without pain pills and sleeping tablets. He doesn’t have the choice.

In the hustle and bustle of juggling our lives sometimes we feel like those few hours of training in a week are a chore.

But the opportunity to get in there and physically change how you look and feel is a privilege a lot of people don’t have.

When you prioritise training, you are prioritising not only you but your family, your partner, your children and everyone you know because - they get the best version of YOU!

You get to train.

Enjoy it ❤️
