Precision Nutrition leverage cutting-edge soil testing techniques and collaborate with independent laboratories to deliver detailed soil assessments. Our soil testing services are crucial for accurately identifying and correcting imbalances in soil nutrients. By implementing grid-based soil testing, we can precisely pinpoint areas with sub-optimal pH levels and nutrient deficiencies. This targeted approach allows for the exact application of lime and fertilisers, enhancing soil health and fertility tailored to the specific needs of each area.

Through our thorough analysis, we can develop tailored intervention strategies that boost soil productivity and support the growth of healthier, more resilient crops.

To complement our soil testing service, we provide advanced Plant SAP and Leaf Tissue Analysis. These analyses are vital in monitoring the nutritional status of your crops, allowing for timely adjustments to your farming strategies.

Plant SAP Analysis reveals the mineral levels in plant sap, providing a proactive measure to address nutritional deficiencies and excesses before they impact plant health. This real-time data enables precise adjustments to your nutrient management plan, enhancing crop resistance to diseases and improving overall health.

Leaf Tissue Analysis, also known as foliar analysis, offers a direct look at what nutrients are actually being absorbed by your plants. It is an invaluable tool that helps tailor your mineral applications based on the specific needs of your crops, thus optimising growth and maximising yield potential.

Oligobol : Sustained mineral support for grazing cows

When cows and heifers move to grass, their diets can fall short of essential trace elements. Oligobol from Techna Natual provides a simple, effective solution: a single bolus that supplies key minerals for up to 6 months, ensuring herd health and performance through the grazing season.
Turning cows and heifers out to pasture marks a dietary transition often leading to trace element deficiencies
Did you know the intestine is the key site for trace element absorption, yet their actual assimilation varies between 10% and 50% on average?

Ensuring a sustained trace element supply throughout the grazing period will promote better health and more stable herd performance in terms of growth, reproduction, immunity and production
* Ease of use
* Prolonged trace element supplements over 6 months
Replacing daily supplements - practical for animals grazing far from facilities
* Supports animal health and performance
* Composition -
Plant based ingredients- nettle, horsetail.
Minerals and trace elements : magnesium, copper, zinc, magnesium, iodine, cobalt, selenium.

Happy 1st May from all at Precision Nutrition

1st May celebrates Ireland's ancient Celtic festival of Bealtaine and summer's arrival.

People would gather around sacred fires, engaging in rituals to bless the land, livestock, and community for a prosperous summer ahead. In addition to bonfires, Bealtaine was a time of joyful revelry and connection with nature.

This is the May Bush Robbie and his family have created for good luck and a safe and fruitful year in farming
Wishing all our friends, family and customers a prosperous summer ahead

Robbie and Helen recently visited a dairy farm in Kerry to have a look at the overall approach to the farm, looking at cow’s and soil health, grazing and silage management.
They also had a look at the cows post calving to assess body conditions before AI - working with the farmer to assess how calving went and things to change for next year - checking calves and replacements for weight targets
And finally Robbie digging into the soil to see the differences in soil activity and microbiology diversity across different part of the fields

The cows are out day and night and performing well on grass. Butterfat and protein is doing well. Glad to get cows out from a lameness point of view as well, a bit of digital dermatitis, so good to get them out of house. Attention on nutrition and focus shifts to fertility and AI has started.

This year marks 56 years since Earth Day first began in the US in 1970 and has now spread globally, celebrated by millions of people across the world.

It's a chance for people to honour the achievements of the environmental movement and highlight the need to protect the planet.

Earth Day takes place every year on 22 April and every year there is a different theme.
Our Power, Our Planet is Earth Day 2026’s theme reflecting a fundamental truth: environmental progress doesn’t depend on any single administration or election. It’s sustained by daily actions of communities, educators, workers, and families protecting where they live and work.

There are plenty of things we can do, big or small, if we want to connect with Mother Nature.
* Volunteer at a beach or park clean-up or pick up litter on daily walk
* Shop at local farmers market
* Cooking a meal with sustainable produce
* Go pesticide free
* Go to a composting workshop
* Plant some pollinator-friendly flowers either in your garden, balcony or in a window planter
* Plant a tree
* Swap from single-use plastic bottles to a reusable bottle
* Switch to reusable bags
* Limit how much single-use plastic you use in a day

At Precision Nutrition, we are deeply committed to the environment and dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture through nature biomimicry and regenerative farming practices. Our approach harnesses the principles of biodiversity and life below the ground to optimise soil and crop nutrition, boosting plant immunity, reducing susceptibility to disease and pests, and cutting down on fertiliser costs. We offer a comprehensive range of analytical services and natural products, available both through our website and via our agri-merchant partners.
