Hi all, I've just been told that Child Focus Therapy has been chosen for the Clondalkin Tesco charity. This is my play therapy practice to which I provide individual and group therapy to children with a range of difficulties, so please, please, please drop your blue coins in the Child Focus Therapy slot to raise funds to support children with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties to receive therapy. A big thank you to all of you who came to our 2015 Play Therapy Ireland conference yesterday with Dr Sue Jennings. We had a fabulous day of play, attachment and emotional insights to the amazing work Dr Sue carries out. Thanks for your support and to the members of the advisory board you've been amazing throughout the 2 years I have held the position as CEO of our organisation. I wish Fidelma Twomey all the very best in taking up this role as I step down. It's been a real privilege to fill this role and work on behalf of the play therapists of Ireland. I look forward to continuing the delivery of the play therapy training in Marino institute and continuing to support the board in any way I can. Best wishes, here's to all the new developments to come.

Good morning, our relaxation and meditation group is starting this Thursday we have 4 spaces left. This group is for age group 7-11 boys and girls. This type of group may suit children who have anxieties, trouble sleeping, worry a lot or they just need some time out for themselves. This is a great skill to learn in their developing years. Contact me on 0858484349. Classes are €10 and groups are on from 5pm-540pm run by two qualified healers and meditation facilitators. Can't wait!

my next introduction to play therapy day is on the 25 Oct 2015 for those who missed the last training day. It takes place in a Marino institute of education. 8:30am-6:00pm €190.00 for the day. Hi all, Child focus therapy will offer relaxation and meditation for children aged 7-11. This a lovely space and time for children to have a such a life long skill to learn. It will run for approx 40 mins for €10 per week for 6 weeks. This is run by Amanda and Caroline, two experienced girls in this field. To book a place, contact me directly on 0858484349.

Enjoyed my most resent Play therapy presentation including both theory and experiential workshop in clondalkin Library on Wednsday, with a group of parents. This is always a great discussion with lots of shared experiences both positive and negative within the group of their experiences in parenting. We explored the importance of play for children. What is Play therapy and common difficulties in the group with parenting and ways to approach them. All before sitting back and enjoying a creative visualisation so it can be used with their children as a way to reduce anxiety, learn relaxation techniques and to connect with their little ones in this very busy life style.
It is so important to take time out for free play with your children as often as you can.
Next presentation is in Marino college Dublin on the 25th April 2015.
