Foraging Rosehip
I’ve been busy foraging this beautiful fruit. Foraging is a brilliant and therapeutic pastime, it’s a brilliant opportunity to do something to reduce stress, anxieties and to restore energy. And also, to learn about all beautiful things that the nature has to offer.
Rosehip oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which are integral for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. It's no wonder that the oil has long been used as a folk remedy for wound healing, as well as the reduction of scars and fine lines.
It is not too late to go and forage some rosehip, and you don’t need a lot of it to make the Rosehip oil.
Ingredients to make Rosehip oil
· Rosehip
· Sweet Almond Oil (found in any health shop)
· Liquid Vitamin E (optional)
· Rose essential oil (optional)
1 Cup of Rosehips to 2 Cups of Sweet Almond Oil
Freeze Rosehips for few days before making the oil.
1. Wash Rosehips with hot water, it will soften them out.
2. Cut off the buts.
3. Put Rosehips in the slow cooker, mash them up, pour over with Sweet Almond oil.
4. On low setting cook for 4-12 hours. The longer the better.
5. Cool it.

Add few liquid vitamin E drops – it’s a natural preservative.
Add few drops of rose natural oil for the scent.
