I am delighted to be announcing that myself and herbalist Majella O Riordan will be offering a free Roots and Remedies experience on Monday October 18th as part of Bandon Wellness Week. The day is funded through West Cork Development Partnership which makes it accessible to all those that may need a day of connection, self care and wellness. This month is Mental Health month worldwide and the thmee is "Mental Health in an Unequal World" I am delighted that this and other events on offer in Bandon next week are free and therefore accessible to all who need them.

Our next self care and nature connection day for adults is coming up on the 15th August at An Sanctoir , Ballydehob. This month I am so exited to invite Majella O Riordan , to join me for the day. The day will include gentle movement and nature connection practices. Plant identification and plant medicine making to support a healthy immune system and promote self care. And to top it off we will get to nibble on some tasty and medicinal plant edibles that we make together during the day.
A day of reconnection to self, community and nature. Places are limited in keeping with current health guidelines.

Rosemary- Rosmarinus officinalis
Yesterday I spotted some very healthy looking Rosemary sprigs in my garden and decided to make a tincture before the frost took them.
Rosemary is an amazing aromatic and can really enhance your culinary delights, like popping a few sprigs in with your roast spuds or pairing it with lamb.
Rosemary is great for brain fog and really helps the memory and concentration. It helps depression and anxiety, lifting the spirits in times of need. Very specific for headaches, very clearing
Its a warming stimulant reducing muscle tensions and helps all circulatory problems.
It helps bring us back to ourselves.

What is Herbal Medicine?

Herbal Medicine is one of the oldest forms of medicine on the planet. Plants have amazing healing abilities. Plants can be used for healing in many different ways - Herbal teas, Tinctures, Essential oils, Herbal bath salts, Flower essences, Using herbs in cooking.

I am a Herbal Medicine practitioner and I treat the person and not the illness, what may work for one person may not work for another.

When one makes an appointment for a consultation, it will usually take between one and one and a half hours. We will discuss the issue you have come with but we'll also discuss the whole body and also diet and lifestyle.
I will then prepare a medicine which will be very specific to what you need. This may include a Tincture and also maybe a Herbal tea and or an essential oilmix. I will also take into consideration what works best for you. I will usually make up a month's supply of medicine and we can review after that.

Plants are the most natural, empowering forms of medicine you will find.
