Stress, anxiety and overwhelm we have all felt it at some point. How can we reduce these feelings and increase the feelings of wellbeing. 5 simple steps:
1. Become aware of your breath
2. Exercise outdoors daily, a simple walk for 10 minutes will help.
3. Reduce screen time, comparisons to others filtered portrayal of their life serve no one. Unfollow those accounts that create unwanted feelings within you.
4. Identify and write down what triggers these feelings. What are the situations or things that keep occurring. Change those!
5. Book yourself some ME time, relax, you can learn new techniques or tips that can help you.

It's been a while since I've posted....
Life has been busy and often feels like you are just spinning lots of plates and not achieving anything. It's only when we stop, breathe and look back at where you started you realise what you have accomplished. Give yourself a pat on the back and acknowledge just how far you have come.

A lovely ancient custom on Brigid's Eve (today Jan 31st) is putting out a piece of cloth or ribbon in your garden tonight, the Brat Bhride, or Brigid's Mantle. The cloth is traditionally red, white or blue and when Brigid passes over the land tonight, she will bless the cloth and imbue it with her healing and protection. It can then be used to treat headaches, toothache, sore throats and other ailments or worn inside a coat or jacket to protect the wearer throughout the year. This custom is still very much alive and practised in many parts of Ireland today. Don't forget to put yours out tonight!

World Menopause Day

Research from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) showed that:

three out of five working women between the ages of 45 and 55 who are experiencing menopause symptoms say it has a negative impact on them at work

nearly two-thirds of women surveyed said they were less able to concentrate

more than half said they experience more stress

30 per cent of women said they had taken sick leave because of their symptoms with only a small minority of women said they told their managers about the real reason for taking sick leave

There are resources out there to help you through this, HRT, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Hypnosis, Acupuncture, talk therapies and lots more. Speak to your gp, support groups or those who are going through it or have been through it. There is plenty of support available

DAY 6 of WORLD REFLEXOLOGY WEEK 2022

Instead of more Reflexology facts, and information, we thought we’d give you some self care tips. And also because it’s weekend. 😉

S-T-R-E-T-C-H your toes ..... pleeeaase!

Our poor toes spend a huge amount of time squished in to foot wear in some shape or form - high heeled shoes, sport shoes, dance/ballet shoes, protective shoes, boots, sandals and jandals (flip flops)!

This, plus the fact that many of us are engaged in repetitive or sedentary activities throughout the day, causes the muscles in not only our body, but also our feet and every one of our toes to stiffen and become more rigid.

Stretch your squished toes as often as you can throughout every day, or at least at night and in the morning, or when exercising or stretching.

Try these easy stretches to stretch out your toes:

• Take your toes in your hands and bend them all downward, to stretch the top of your foot.

• Take your toes in your hands and bend them all upward, enough to feel a nice stretch in the bottom of your foot, not just the toes.

• Pull each toe apart from the next. You should be able to put one of each of your fingers in the gap between each of your toes.

• Holding your foot in one hand use your other hand to gently pull each toe one at a time, making small circles at the base of each toe clockwise and anticlockwise. Repeat on the other foot.

• Pull the little and big toes away from each other at once, so that there is a gentle pull across the width of your foot.

So, how do your toes feel now?😆
