It’s a blustery day out there 💨 but we fought our way to Main St Midleton to treat all our wonderful clients booked in for a busy clinic today! 🥰 Who else is hoping for snow?? ☃️❄️

We get a lot of questions about Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or the “Vampire Facelift” 🧛‍♀️🧛

This amazing treatment uses a sample of your own blood, which we take from your arm and spin in our centrifuge. 🌪

This separates the straw coloured plasma from the red blood cells with a gel separater. Plasma is rich in growth factors and stem cells that help to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin and subcutaneous tissue. We then inject this ‘liquid gold’ back into the area to be treated - it’s amazing for hard to treat areas such as under eyes! 👀

It is a beautifully natural treatment for those who are not a fan of artificial injectables, and takes just 30 minutes per session.

HOW DOES PROFHILO WORK?
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. This makes it fantastic for those with tired, dull-looking skin, transforming it into firm and luminous skin. This effect takes place within 3-5 days of treatment.
Over the next few weeks collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and lacklustre skin.
