Well done Billy Brenock 👏👏👏

A Jersey resident has undertaken a marathon trek from Malin Head to Mizen Head to honour his Irish heritage and raise desperately needed funds for a cancer charity.

Billy Brenock is undertaking a 50-day walk spanning the length of Ireland - and is expecting a warm welcome back to his ancestral home in Mitchelstown in Cork en route to Mizen Head.

A resident of Jersey, Billy's family hails from north Cork and he has been a regular visitor back to Ireland throughout his life.

His 1,000km trek is aimed at raising money for cancer charities to honour the treatment provided for his mother after she was diagnosed with cancer.

The Israeli military has said that the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect at midday local time (10am Irish time).

Petrol and diesel up 2.5c, no electricity credits in 2026. Proof if ever proof was needed that FFG don’t care and have no idea what is going on in the lives of their constituents.

There will be no one-off electricity credits next year while increases in carbon tax announced in Budget 2026 will add around 2.5c to the cost of a litre of motor fuel from tomorrow.
