Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pop on here to let you know that I’m running my Addiction Support Group tonight at 7 o’clock here in The Misneach Centre Anita has kindly gave me the room to run the group for an hour.
It’s completely donation-based, so please don’t worry about money. I know how tough it can be when you’re in addiction or in recovery — people have families, responsibilities, and life can be really challenging. This group is just a safe space for you to come along, no pressure, no judgment.
I’ll be bringing my own experience from working in addiction treatment, also my expert education in addiction and I’ll also be able to share information about the services available around Westmeath and offaly and all of Ireland . Hopefully, I can help you find the right supports or even just talk through what’s going on for you.
Tonight is really about getting started gently ,building trust, setting our group boundaries, and creating a space where everyone feels safe and understood. I’m not going to overwhelm you with too much information tonight; it’s just about connection.
And remember — whether you’re in active addiction, early recovery, or just needing somewhere to sit and be around people who understand — you are more than welcome.
if I can help even one person start to make a change, that means everything to me.
So please, don’t be nervous. Just come along tonight at 7. I’d be delighted to see you there.
This holiday season, I’m offering a six-week addiction recovery group at the Misneach Centre, completely donation-based. As a Psychotherapist with also a specialised education in addictions I am committed to supporting those in Addiction & recovery without any financial burden.
We know that the festive season can be particularly challenging for many, and St. Vincent de Paul plays a vital role in supporting our entire community—providing essential services like food, clothing, education and heating and so much more to those in need. All donations from our group will go directly to St. Vincent de Paul, helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of those struggling in our community.
You can donate online via the link below that directs you to the main St Vincent de Paul website or support your local St. Vincent de Paul directly, through the misneach centre to be giving to st Vincent de Paul . Every bit of generosity counts, and together we can bring comfort and support to those who need it most and make a real tangible difference.
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
Thank you for your kindness and for helping make a difference this Christmas.
