Not sure who to book with? That’s exactly where we come in.

One of the biggest barriers to starting therapy is a simple question:

“Who do I choose?”

At The Misneach Centre, you don’t have to figure that out alone.

You can book an Intake Assessment with our Clinical Director, Anita Lynch,
bringing years of experience in understanding not just what you’re going through, but who is best placed to support you.

This isn’t a generic referral.

It’s a thoughtful, informed match, based on your needs, your schedule and what will actually support your progress.

Prefer to choose yourself?

Our website allows you to:

• View every therapist — qualified & students
• See who they work with (adults, couples, teens, children)
• Explore the issues they specialise in
• Check fees (€35–€70)
• See exactly what days they’re in the centre

No guesswork. No hidden steps. Just clarity.

Because starting therapy is courageous.

Finding the right fit shouldn’t make it harder.

Today we had great help from young Patrick, Audrey’s son, a credit he is to her.

There’s nothing that young lad can’t turn his hand to. In one day he hung a blind, put up a herbal tea rack, fitted a smoke alarm, hung lampshades, filled holes and painted, helped dump rubbish, assembled an outdoor storage unit and a table.

A young lad who clearly enjoys working and will turn his hand to anything, an absolute pleasure to have helping out.

A very productive day at the centre as we keep improving things bit by bit.

Thank you Patrick, really appreciate all your help💞👌

Mother’s Day Reflection

Sitting here with a cup of tea this Mother’s Day, I find myself holding many emotions at once.

I’m waiting for my youngest daughter to arrive so we can spend the day together, and later we’ll video call my oldest daughter in Australia.

My daughters are my greatest achievements, and I look forward to the day I might become a grandmother.

Alongside that joy, I also carry the quiet sadness of missing my own mother.
Love and distance can exist at the same time, and that is the reality I hold today.

It is a strange reality to know I could easily visit her, talk with her, hug her while she is still alive yet I cannot be in contact. Not out of punishment, but because this is the boundary I must keep for my own wellbeing.

The safety and care I needed as a child were not there, and as an adult I’ve had to learn to honour that truth.

Families are rarely simple, and this reflection comes from a place of honesty rather than blame.

I know people often say “but you only have one mother.”

But for survivors of childhood abuse particularly where one parent harms and the other does not intervene or acknowledge what happened, that phrase can carry deep guilt and shame.

Sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is honour their own story and keep the boundaries that allow them to live and heal.

Today I hold gratitude for the daughters I love and compassion for the child in me who deserved protection.

My heart goes out to anyone who finds this day complicated through estrangement, loss, grief, or painful histories.

We are all simply doing the best we can with the reality we find ourselves in.

Be gentle with yourselves today.

My hope is that the cycles that caused harm end with me and that love, care and truth carry forward through my daughters.

A big thank you to local electrician Cathal O’Brien for the fantastic job installing our new wireless ceiling-mounted projector and projector screen at The Misneach Centre.

Cathal took great care to ensure everything was fitted neatly with clean lines, discreet wiring and a really professional finish, while also making sure it worked well visually within the space.

It has made such a difference to the room and will really enhance the way we deliver trainings, workshops and presentations.

Delighted with how it turned out 🤩
Highly recommend Cathal if you’re looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work.

This year’s International Women’s Day 2026 is actually about rights, justice and real action for women.

Not slogans.
Not performative messaging.

And certainly not the idea that women must give more in order to gain recognition.

Women should not need to prove their worth.

Women already lead, create, nurture, build businesses, hold families together and contribute to society in powerful ways.

We embody many roles. Time and time again we rise with intelligence, wisdom, resilience and strength.

Yet the fight for women’s rights is far from over.

Today in Dublin, women will march to highlight the ongoing realities of violence and sexual assault and the urgent need to protect a survivor’s right to healing without that process being weaponised against them.

Because real empowerment means women can seek support, speak their truth and pursue justice without fear.

Women deserve safety.
Women deserve dignity.
Women deserve equality.

Not because of what we give but because of who we are.

Misneach means Courage, Courage to push forward through uncertainty.

That courage lives in women every single day.

Proud to stand alongside the incredible women of The Misneach Centre ☘

Over the years, I’ve seen how much uncertainty therapists carry when starting out in private practice.

So I’ve created a resource I genuinely wish many clinicians had access to earlier.

11 fully editable practice documents paired with an 8 page guidance booklet covering policies, procedures, and everyday ethical considerations.

Simple, practical, and grounded in real clinical work.

Designed to reduce overwhelm and support therapists in building confidence and professional, ethical consistency.

You can explore & purchase the resource here: https://misneachcentre.ie/for-therapist/
