🕊️Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Mary Mc Dermott (née Sweeney), Ballinode, Co. Monaghan and formerly Polranney, Achill, Co. Mayo, Wednesday the 13th of May, peacefully surrounded by her devoted family. She is now with her beloved husband Jim Joe Mc Dermott, her dear grandchildren Fionn and Leonard and her parents and siblings who have predeceased her.


May Mary's Gentle Soul, Rest Now In Peace


She will be sadly missed by her loving children Rory (Evelyn), Mona (Michael), Ronnie (Patricia), Fergus (Gráinne), Emmet (Ashley), Donie (Niamh) and Roger (Siobhán), her brother John (Kathleen) and sister Rita, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary will repose at her daughter’s residence in Ballinode (H18A294) on Friday 15th May from 2pm - 9pm. Mary's funeral procession will arrive to St Mary’s Church, Urbleshanny on Saturday morning for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed though Tydavnet Parish RC Churches page.

🕊️Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Francis Gerard (Gerry) Mc Eneany, 11 Cathedral View, Monaghan (H18FV00) on Tuesday the 12th May, peacefully in the loving care of his family, following a short illness in Cavan General Hospital.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Monica, his infant son Graeme, his parents Bernard and Mary, his 7 brothers and 5 sisters.

Gerry’s family will walk alongside him from his home on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive to St Macartan’s Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s new cemetery, Latlurcan. Joe Mc Quaid
We, the family of the late Joe Mc Quaid, Dernasell East, Scotstown Co Monaghan, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 5th April 2026, would like to thank all those who attended the wake and funeral.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who offered kind words of condolences in person and on RIP. ie, sent cards, flowers and supported us during this sad time, including those who travelled near and far to be with us. Our sincere thanks also to our friend's and neighbours who provided support and refreshments in our family home.

We would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff Medical Ward 3 Cavan General Hospital. Thanks also to Dr Irena, and the staff of Scotstown Pharmacy. Heartfelt thanks to Lisa and Sinead, Palliative Care nurses who not only looked after Joe with care and compassion but also guided us through the hardest of days. We will be forever grateful to them both.

Our sincere thanks to the staff of Clerkin Funeral Directors, especially Conor, whose compassion and professionalism helped us through this difficult time.

We would also like to thank Fr Stephen Joyce for celebrating such a beautiful personal funeral mass. Heartfelt thanks to Patricia, Nicola and members of Knockatallon Church choir for their beautiful singing and to Sliabh Beagh Hotel for the beautiful refreshments.

🕊Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Ann Ginley, Tully, Monaghan in her 94th year on Sunday 28th of September peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the compassionate care of the staff in Mullinahinch Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Jim and her daughter Anna.

Ann will be always remembered and loved by all her children Kathleen (Brendan), Eileen (Paul), Lou (Rose), Margaret (John), Alice (James), John, Gerry (Roseleen), Brian (Sheila) her 14 grandchildren, her 37 great-children, 1 great- great-child nieces, nephews extended family, friends neighbours and all who knew and loved Ann.
