Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but gets you nowhere." I love that quote because it perfectly describes how I used to feel. For the longest time, that knot of worry in my stomach felt like a permanent part of my life.

But I've learned that it's a message from my body. In traditional Chinese medicine the emotion of worry is described as a physical conversation with our stomach and spleen, Worry is inviting us to address the root cause of our imbalance. Or discontent . Have you ever said yes to something
and then heard your stomach saying no loudly and clearly .We can keep ignore the sensations for a short period of time but eventually our body will get our attention through illness or pain.

I've been on a journey of listening, and I've been using powerful energy tools to find my balance again. Now, I'm putting everything I've learned into a course called "Mood Mastery with Meridians."

If you're ready to stop rocking and start finding your peace, drop a heart emoji below! ❤️ I can't wait to share more with you.

I used to think of emotions as good or bad. I’d try to avoid the "bad" ones, the ones i knew my parents or teachers did not like but that made me feel disconnected from myself, like I was living a short distance from my body.
James Joyce in his book the Dubliners describes Mr Duffy as living a short distance from his body

Then a client I worked with in mental health said something that changed everything for me: "When you put the lid on one emotion, it puts a lid on all of them
That powerful insight helped me realize that emotions aren't obstacles; they're guides. For example, today I feel grumpy, and as soon as I noticed it, I realized it's a sign that I'm just tired and need an early night.
When we let our emotions speak, they point to what we really need.

Have you ever felt that rush of anxiety—your heart pounding, your chest feeling tight—right before you have to manage a stressful situation.

In medical terms, your heart is literally protected by a strong, fibrous sac called the pericardium. Its job is to keep your heart in place and shielded from physical stress.

But in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this protective layer is seen as something more profound: the “Heart Protector.” It’s the bodyguard for your emotional and spiritual heart, acting as a buffer against emotional shock, stress, and overwhelming feelings.

When you're about to give a speech or face a difficult conversation, your emotional pericardium steps up. That feeling in your chest is a sign that it’s working hard to protect your spirit from the pressure.

Give Your Heart Protector a Helping Hand

You can support your pericardium's energy with a simple acupressure technique on a powerful point: Pericardium 6 (PC6), also known as the "Inner Gate."
PC6 acupoint is located on the palmar side of the wrist two inches above the transverse crease of the wrist, between the tendons of palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis

Turn one hand palm-up.

Place the first three fingers of your opposite hand across your wrist,

Apply gentle, but firm, pressure with your thumb for 1-2 minutes while taking slow, deep breaths. You can do this on both wrists.

This point is famous for calming the mind, settling nausea, and helping to restore a sense of inner peace. It's a small act of self-care that directly communicates with your heart's emotional bodyguard, giving it the support it needs to stay strong.

☯️ Yin and Yang are at the heart of Chinese medicine — not just opposites, but dynamic partners always shifting, always seeking balance.

But balance isn’t about being perfectly still.
It’s about moving with life’s natural rhythms.

In Chinese medicine, there are five core rhythms or elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — each linked to a season, an emotion, and a different kind of energy in the body and mind.

We’re influenced by these rhythms every single day — sometimes without even realizing it.

🌞 Think about how you feel on a warm, sunny spring morning — compared to a cold, dark November afternoon.
Your body, your mood, even your motivation responds to the world around you. That’s the rhythm in action. We need to take thin into account when creating balance

This is something I’m diving into deeply as I create my upcoming course, Meridians & Mood — part of my work through Mind Body Energy Matters.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more about how these rhythms show up in everyday life — and how understanding them can help us feel more balanced, connected, and well.

✨ I’d love to know — what season do you feel most in sync with right now? And how do you think it’s shaping your energy?
I love Spring time as i am a wood type and i love the bracing Spring winds

Yin & Yang: Balance Doesn’t Happen by Accident

Ever feel like you're always doing, thinking, pushing… and still can’t find calm or focus?
Or maybe the opposite—you’re stuck in pause mode, low energy, hard to get moving?

That’s not laziness or weakness. It’s often an energy imbalance.

In Chinese Medicine, we talk about Yin and Yang—opposite but complementary forces that shape everything, including how we feel.

Yang is your action, drive, expression.
Yin is your rest, recovery, inner quiet.

The taijitu image below represents these opposites in balance
We need both—but most of us live in a world that constantly pulls us into Yang overdrive. And then sometimes, we swing the other way and feel like we can’t get going at all.

Balance doesn’t happen on its own. We have to make space for it—by carving out real downtime, honoring our limits, and also knowing when it’s time to gently re-engage and move forward.

This is the heart of what I’m exploring right now: how the body’s energy systems—especially the meridians—relate to our emotional rhythms, and how we can support that with small, intentional shifts.

✨ I’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks. Not as rules—but as invitations to reconnect with your own natural rhythm.

The past year brought illness, grief, and a forced kind of stillness I didn’t expect — or want. But it gave me space to reflect, and to return to something I’ve known for a long time:

Mind, body, and energy are always talking to each other — and when we don’t listen, the message just gets louder.

After years of working in mental health, I’ve seen how talk therapy doesn’t always reach the places where pain lives. Sometimes what we need is simpler, more embodied, more direct.

That’s why I’ve been creating a new course — one that brings together energy work, meridian-based practices, and simple tools like journaling to support mood, overwhelm, and emotional recovery.

It’s for those who are carrying too much, giving too much, and rarely putting themselves first.

If that’s you, know this: change is possible. You don’t have to power through it. You can work with your energy system to create real shifts — gently, consistently, and on your own terms.

Working with Mood Through the Meridians

I’ve been exploring how our emotional health is deeply connected to the body’s energy systems — especially the meridians, the channels used by acupuncturists
For example: ever felt a heavy sadness you couldn’t quite explain? In Chinese medicine, that kind of feeling is often linked to an imbalance in the lung meridian, which is connected to grief and letting go. Talk therapy helps but sometimes there I still no change . By gently working with that energy pathways shifts can happen — not just in the body, but in the emotions too.

I’m currently developing a course that brings these insights together — looking at how our moods move” through the energetic channels of the body, and how we can support balance using the meridians.

✨ It’s not ready just yet, but I’ll be sharing tips, reflections, and ideas here as it comes to life.

Feeling Energetically Frazzled in Crowds?

I’m in beautiful (and very busy!) Puerto Banús right now — and let’s just say, the energy is buzzing with huge crowds everywhere .

Today I used two of my go-to Eden Energy Medicine tools to keep my energy grounded and clear —as I navigated the very crowded streets

🔹 Zip Up – Imagine zipping up an invisible jacket from your p***c bone to your bottom lip. It helps protect your energy and protects you from absorbing other people’s stress, moods, and overwhelm.

🔹 Figure 8 It – Gently trace figure 8s around your body (or visualize them). They help your energy stay flowing, balanced, and resilient. And boosts the aura.

Keeping your energy protected helps you feel calmer, stronger, and more you — even in a sea of people. ✨

Do crowds affect your energy too? Let me know if you try these! 💛
