Can you believe that the first yoga block of the year finished this week?!
We can truly begin to welcome Spring now, as we are getting little glimpses between the rain showers. Spring is a time of rebirth, reawakening, and taking action, and this will be reflected in our next block of classes.
I have just finished taking an online Somantic Strength Course with Lizzie Lasater and Mary Richards, and I'd really love to incorporate some of those teachings into the classes. It was a course about functional movement for stability. Mary is a Yoga Therapist and designed the course, which blended yoga asana and strength training. It was very much about keeping joints happy and protected, supporting balance, and maintaining healthy movement so we can continue to move as we age.
Spring is a time of action, so let's get moving in a safe and supportive way that will help us feel stronger, more capable, and energised.
