This weekend 2 years ago, the day after I finished final year made this page🤩🌟 Where has the time gone?👀⌛️

Over the past two years I have been very fortunate to be given some amazing opportunities and meet some even more amazing people!🤝

Where to start? I guess let’s go back to May 2022, I was fortunate enough to work with the Offaly Senior hurlers as an intern. I must admit, even as a proud Laois woman I will always have a soft spot for Offaly GAA, the people I met, the experience I gained, and the chance I was given to prove myself.

June 2022, I started working in O’Brien clinic after a successful final year placement over April and May, Paddy hasn’t been able to get rid of me since😅

I started working with my first two clubs on my own, Kilruane MacDonaghs who I still work with, and Kinnitty!

Kilruane went on to win the Tipperary Senior hurling final that year, I have no doubt a certain someone looking down, had a huge part to play in that. He is also the reason I have become the therapist I am today and why I strive to try better myself in my field of work and in life everyday.

I soon graduated in November 22, 4 years all summed up by one piece of paper🫡 I will always talk fondly of my time in Carlow and every single person I met along the way!

That November was a busy month, I got the opportunity to work with the Laois Senior hurlers, an opportunity I jumped at. As I said before I am a proud Laois woman🔵⚪️

I have experienced every single type of weather extreme possible while working pitchside😂 Top tip for new grads, buy wet gear and bring it everyday, even if it is 25°C, its Ireland after all.. anything could happen!

July/Aug 2023, the opportunity to work with the Tipperary Senior hurlers came along. I stepped away from Laois, I can now say with certainty that I made the correct decision for me. I have met some of the most amazing people over the last few months working with the lads🤝

I also got the work with the CCR SCT and JCT, a group of the most determined and respectful young men I have ever met🏉 Was nice to dabble in something other than the small ball!

That brings us to now, I am unsure of the next step but time will tell🤪👀

There is no such thing as an off season in this job, if it’s not club GAA, it’s intercounty GAA, and if it’s not that it’s rugby🏉🏟️🏑🏐

2023, what a year🤩

Starting off the year flat out, juggling clinic work, with the Laois senior hurlers during their Joe McDonagh campaign, and with Kilruane MacDonaghs Senior hurlers during their league campaign😴

Tipperary and Laois club Championship then kicked off, working with Kilruane, with the Harps when needed and lending a helping hand with Camross, my own club, who went on to win the Laois senior hurling county final🤩🤩

I started studying for my GAMSAT which I will sit in 2024 in hopes of securing a spot in a masters program🤞🏻

U21 Tipperary championship then took off, which followed by the opportunity to work with the Tipperary Senior Hurlers for the 2024 season🤩🤩

I started working with the Senior Cup Rugby team in Cistercian College Roscrea, where I have gotten to meet some of the most determined, ambitious and talented young men🏉

Getting the pick of 5 Senior club teams between Tipperary and Laois for the 2024 season, opening a secondary clinic in Roscrea, being on all clinic social media duties, getting a valentines present from the lads at training, and putting about 40,000km on my car😂

Overall, a bit of a mental one, but I couldn’t have dreamed for any better! Here’s to 2024, the year of more learning, more opportunity and meeting many more amazing people along the way🥳🥰

I’ve officially been a grown up for a little over 12 months🫡🤩

I’ll let my BeReals show some of my favourite memories out in the working world over the last few months🤪

1. Tipperary Senior County Final Replay Day

2. One of the many kit restocks

3. Covering my first inter-county game in my home county grounds 📦

4. My first day back in Semple after a long 4 months

5. One of the many long days spent in clinic treating all sorts of injuries 🦴

6. My work bestie (sorry Eimear, Anna, Paddy and Kellie)

7. The last day cramming the first boot before the upgrade🚗

8. Dans last day in Cloughjordan 🏆

9. My first overnight trip with the Offaly hurlers

10. The last game of the season with Kinnitty, my first solo club 🤩
