Pawsitive Pet Healing for Pets after Surgery caters for pets that have both routine and emergency surgeries.

I can collect your pet directly from your vets.
They will be handed over to me by your own vet with full discharge instructions for medications and after care.
I can take your pet for any post operative consults with your vet.

Some pets stay for the full recovery period of up to 12 weeks, some stay 2 -4 weeks. Every situation is individual and tailor made to your pet and you as the owner.

Having worked in vet clinics for years, I see how owners struggle caring for their pets after major surgery. I also see how many pets have to undergo surgery again through infections or tears in the wound from the dogs doing too much too soon.

I have a clean warm room with various crate sizes to suit your pets size, blankets and towels, harnesses to help them walk, buster collars to make sure they don't get at the wounds. Each crate has its own heat lamp and relaxing music plays 24/7,

Dogs for adoption

Important information.

We at Dublin County Dog Shelter currently have 24 Bull Breed dogs in our care. These dogs consist of French Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pocket Bully's, Pitbull Terriers and Standard American Bully's ( none of our dogs are a banned breed ). Their length of time with us vary from October 2024 up until our current dogs. We here at the shelter have decided to be the first shelter to take the initiative to hold an Adopt a Bull Breed Week starting on Monday 26th of May 2025 to try and go above and beyond to try and find our dogs that perfect home that they deserve. We truly believe that all our dogs will find a new home specifically for them, some of our dogs have quirky habits and routines here with us at the shelter and we will discuss those with you at a meet and greet. Now we are appealing to our friends, our followers, our rescues, our charities, and our members of the public to share our post, although you yourself may not be in a position to adopt a dog someone you may know may be in a position to help one of our dogs. we will also post the requirements of what is needed and a guideline of what you may need to Adopt a shelter dog, meet and greets must be by appointment only as staff are limited

Do you need boarding care for your pet while they are recovering from surgery or are on long term medications? I offer this service to people so they know their pet is safe and well cared for by an experience ACA ( animal care assistant), who has 16 years experience of working in vets, as well as grooming and boarding experience. I can care for your pet straight from surgery so you know they are getting first class minding, with strict crate rest and regular on lead toilet breaks, just as your vet recommends.

Here at Pawsitive Pet Healing I take care of your pets recovering from surgery. Be it overnight, a few days, sometime for the full recovery period. Please reach out and ask for help if you think you will struggle to cope with your pets needs after surgery. I am happy to give medications as prescribed by your vet and to liaise with your vet regarding treatment and exercise after surgery
