Well it only took us 2 years but we're back!

Myself and Michaela are bringing the rest, restore and goosebump inducing relaxation to the shores of Lough Ennell. Dont miss it!

Restorative Yoga & Soundbath - Sunday 7th December, 5–7pm

Feel like unplugging and slowing down for a while? We have created a perfect 2 hour session for you.
We start off with some gentle Qigong movements followed by a short guided meditation to settle body and mind. Kim will then guide you through a series of restorative yoga poses using lots of props, like bolsters, blocks and blankets to support your body in longer holds and gentle stretches. As you rest in these poses Michaela will create sounds with Crystal Bowls, different Chimes, a gong and Tibetan bowls that will help you fall into an even deeper state of relaxation. To finish Kim will treat you to a head massage using calming essential oils.

If this sounds like the kind of pause you need before the madness and busyness of December and Christmas, we’d love to have you there.

Spaces are limited so early booking is recommended.

Ashtanga Friday

Using and 60min Ashtanga video because I thought I had booked into their livestream class but it was the wrong date πŸ˜…

60 mins condensed into 3mins

I always feel great after Ashtanga practice - missing .grace.curran 's classes so much but hoping to make it to Wicklow to attend some of her classes soon now that I have more time.

Let me know if anyone fancies practicing some (beginner) Ashtanga with me and I'll organise a class.

Think you're not flexible enough for yoga?

Try this 3 minute slow flow practice as a test.

Ideally done a little slower (I had to speed it up to fit into the 3 mins) but at the pace of your own breath.

Here are the poses:
Hands up - upward handpose
Hands out and down - forward fold
Hands to shins - half way lift
Hands to floor and step back to tabletop
Arch the back - cow pose
Round the back - cat pose
From tabletop bend the elbows - mini pushup
Knees wide big toes touch, sit back - childspose
Right foot steps forward - low lunge
Hands reach up
Hands to floor step forward to halfway lift (Hands to shins)
Hands to floor - forward fold
Hands teach to the ceiling - upwards hand pose
Hands to heart
Start again on the other side (stepping left foot forward for low lunge on left side)

Hold for extra deep breaths whenever you need them and check how you're feeling, and how the movement feels in your body, intermittently throughout the practice.

If you like the pace come along to Slow & Stretchy Yoga Mondays, Wednesdays at 10.30am, Sundays at 1pm.
