New treatment! Percutaneus Electrolisis!

Chronic conditions like: tennis elbow, plantar fascicitis, jumpers knee, Achilles pain and other tendinopathies now can be treated more efficient.

(Longer explanation below)

1. What is a tendinopathy?

Tendinopathy describes a complex multifaceted pathology of the tendon, characterized by pain around a tendon, decline in function and reduced exercise/physical activities tolerance. No inflammation is present in these condition. To confirm tendinopathy and avoid misdiagnosis I use Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging to see where the tendon is changed and where the treatment must be apply.

2. What is EPTE treatment?

The EPTE system allows the application of physical therapy technique, Percutaneus Electrolysis, to treat chronic tendinopathy and fibril breakage.

3. How does it work?

Percutaneus electrolysis involves the application of a galvanic current through acupuncture needle to access the damaged soft tissue. This results in a quick recovery of the tissue.

The application of current causes decomposition of the damaged tissues into their basic substances (through the process of electrolysis). The current also creates heat.

4. What can be treated?

All kind of chronic tendinopathies including:

- Patellar tendon tendinopathy & Hoffa’s fat pad – jumper’s knee

- Achilles tendon tendinopathy & Kager’s fat pad

- Epicondyle tendinopathy – tennis & golfer’s elbow

- Plantar fascia tendinopathy – plantar fasciopathy

- Rotator Cuff tendionpathy

- Adductor longus & magnus tendinopathy – groin pain

- Hamstring tendinopathy

- Re**us femoris tendinopathy

- Gluteus medius & minimus tendinopathy

Fibril breakages in which such technique is applied and therefore the EPTE device can be used include:

- Older muscular/tendons injuries which do not react for conservative treatment

- Intramuscular scar tissue breakage

Hi everyone!…
There will be a temporary shortage of appointments available in next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately I had Covid a few weeks ago, but there have been a few complications since.
(Mainly breathing and weakness)
So I will be returning to work gradually over the next few weeks.

The other physiotherapists ( Patryk and Paul) will accommodate as best as they can.

BUT in 3 to 4 weeks the clinic will be running back as normal.
Apologies for not getting an appointment as quick as you usually do.

I can’t wait to get back to it all!😊

Jeanette

Muscle activation patterns

Outcomes of rehabilitation or exercise interventions

Pathologic conditions

Biofeedback for muscle retraining

Conclusion: quicker and more accurate diagnosis -> more efficient treatment -> quicker recovery.
