Play Therapy Mullingar - Mary Riordan Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist.

Play Therapy Mullingar - Mary Riordan Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist. Psychotherapy, Play Therapy & Parenting Support. Children use play as a form of communication.

Psychotherapy is an effective therapy that helps children, adolescents and adults modify their behaviours, clarify their self-concept and build healthy relationships. So often children referred to Play Therapy do not have the words to describe their thoughts, feelings and perceptions of their internal and external world. In Play Therapy, children enter into a dynamic relationship with the therapis

t that enables them to express, explore and make sense of their difficult and painful experiences. Play Therapy helps children find healthier ways of communicating, develop fulfilling relationships, increase resiliency and facilitate emotional literacy. Play Therapy Mullingar, (Mary Riordan) offers a personal, confidential and professional service to children and adolescents and additionally, a support and guidance service to parents, on parenting and attachment issues.

‘Heavy Work’ is a really important type of sensory input. It helps us meet our proprioceptive needs, which in turn helps us organise our self movement, force and body position. Thanks for these great examples!
