In Pilates, the focus is on strengthening the abdomen, low back and pelvic floor, often referred to as "the core".

You’ll lengthen and tone your muscles by challenging them to work in new ways using precise, controlled movements.

In my classes, we use small stability balls, resistance loops and bands to place greater demand on the muscles.

You’ll learn proper technique and alignment and can look forward to the many benefits Pilates has to offer:

➵ increased core strength
➵ improved posture
➵ decreased back pain
➵ better pelvic floor function
➵ prevention of injuries
➵ increased energy
➵ improved range of motion in your joints.

Classes will take place every Tuesday and Friday morning, starting Jan 21st and 24th in The Soul Hut

10am Level 2 - some previous experience required
11.15am Level 1- suitable for newbies

10am All Levels - suitable for everyone

✨Join me this Friday at 7pm for an hour of gentle Qigong, followed by a luxurious lie down with blankets and bolsters to experience a 30 min guided meditation called Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep).

: What is Yoga Nidra? :

Yoga Nidra is an ancient, powerful meditation technique that uses breath, body and awareness techniques to take you to brainwave states similar to those in deep meditation

Resting in this state of awareness, it becomes easier to disengage from thoughts. Experience how and why this transformational practice is so effective in helping to reduce stress and anxiety and increase feelings of ease and calm.

Yoga Nidra can also improve the quality of sleep when practised consistently over time.

I lead this session twice a month - February dates
are 2nd and 16th.

No yoga experience is required.

💶 €14 drop-in, €65 for 5 sessions, €125 for 10.

📢NEW blocks of Pilates classes begin again next week!

Every Tuesday and Friday morning at The Soul Hut from Jan 16 and 19

Each morning will have 2 levels/times to choose from:

⋆ LEVEL 1: for Beginners, or those who have tried Pilates in the past but need a refresher (11.15am)

⋆ LEVEL 2: for those who want a little more challenge and are familiar with the Mat Pilates movements (10am)

We’ll sometimes use resistance bands and loops to add more challenge 😉

You can take 1 or 2 classes each week, depending on your schedule.

What is Mat Pilates ❓

With an emphasis on creating strength that radiates from your core, Mat Pilates is an energising practice based on a repertoire of 34 movements created by Joseph Pilates. It focuses on toning, stretching and elongating the muscles. This system of low-impact resistance training is designed to improve core strength, muscular endurance, joint mobility and posture.

It can also help to relieve and prevent pain in the low back and hips and support the muscles of the pelvic floor. Over time, you should find you can move with more ease and control.
