This weekend I achieved my Golden Tera Mai™ Reiki Master level, and my heart is full. This journey has been so much more than learning techniques — it’s been deep healing and connection.

I’m endlessly grateful to my teacher Cronin for her infinite wisdom and guidance. ✨🥰 please follow her to experience some inspiration and magic.

The women I’ve met along the way on each course. Your openness, strength, vulnerability, and support have shaped this experience in ways I’ll carry with me forever. 🤍

Born 5/1/26, peacefully at home, and into the loving arms of a family I’m so honored to know.

There’s something extra special about caring for a repeat client—the trust, the connection, the shared journey. This birth was filled with calm, strength, and so much joy. An absolute pleasure from beginning to end 🤍

Grateful beyond words to do this work, to witness these moments, and to start the year with such a beautiful reminder of why I love being a midwife.🥰

This morning, welcoming the Winter Solstice sunrise at was deeply meaningful — made even more special by sharing it with two of my midwife friends. 🥰

Uisneach has a way of grounding you, softening you, reminding you of what really matters.

Waiting for the sun to rise was similar to waiting for a baby’s head to make an appearance…. ‘Any minute now’

The presence of Brigid - Goddess of birth, healing, fire, renewal and her connection to this sacred land at Uisneach was papable this morning.

As the dawn broke it felt like a blessing shared between friends, land, and lineage. A reminder that light always returns, that community matters, and that the work of tending life — whether through birth, friendship, or care for the land — is sacred.

This was a truly magical experience I will carry with me whenever I need to remember what truly matters. 🌅

In the calm of this birth space at home , one of my fabulous clients laboured in warm water — On the screen behind her, a completely different birth story unfolded on the TV 🙈.
Birth in media often shows crisis — but birth in real life can be calm and even joyful.
These photos captured that contrast honestly without us planning it, and it couldn’t speak more clearly.

These images remind me how diverse birth experiences can be — from chaos to calm, from fear to trust. There’s no single “right” way, but there is power in having choice, support, and respect.

✨ The Blessing of St. Brigid’s Cloak ✨

As the eve of St. Brigid’s Day approaches, a beautiful tradition comes alive—one deeply rooted in healing, protection, and the sacred work of midwives.

According to legend, if you leave a shawl or cloth outside on the night of January 31st, St. Brigid will bless it as she passes by. By morning, the fabric is believed to hold healing powers, offering protection to those who use it—especially midwives, mothers, and newborns.

St. Brigid is known as the patroness of midwives, healers, and new life. She represents strength, wisdom, and compassion, guiding those who bring life into the world. The tradition of leaving out a shawl is more than folklore; it is a quiet prayer, a connection to the past, and a blessing for the future.

For those who dedicate their lives to birth and healing, this is a sacred night. Will you leave a shawl out tonight? Mine is ❤️

Receiving photos from families I care for as the years go by with little updates is a beautiful reminder of why I love my job.

I had the honour of welcoming this sweet soul into the world at home, in the warmth of his family’s embrace 5 years ago. Honestly it feels like 5 months - gorgeous memories of a really positive birth.

Homebirth midwifery isn’t just about catching babies; it can also build connections that last far beyond the first few weeks.

Here’s to this little one’s newest trip around the sun—and to all the families who let me be a part of their most sacred moments. 🌻

Saying goodbye to this little fella was so bittersweet today - I wasn’t ready to say goodbye . I loved looking after his family as repeat clients throughout the homebirth process.

This pregnancy involved a bit of a hoop jumping but my goodness it was so worth following along with the policy demands in the end.
This little man had the most amazing birth - incredibly calm and really worth sticking to the homebirth, hypnobirthing plan. I was so privileged to look after his determined Mum who I will always be in awe of 🥰🥰.

It’s been a while since I posted so I m going to do some catching up….
I m so incredibly grateful for the journey I get to share with the families I care for . 💫
Being a homebirth midwife is such an honour, and there’s something extra special about returning to help a family welcome a new little baby.

I received the sweetest gift—a card from two little sisters whose births I attended as their midwife……a keepsake I’ll treasure forever. 💌
I thought there might have been a bit of mess involved alright 😅😂😂
These moments are what it’s all about🥰🥰🥰
