ArtBeat was founded by Cathy OβBrien in June 2018. Cathy blends together her experience and qualifications in expressive arts, chakradance and energy healing to offer unique classes, workshops and individual sessions to those who are looking to reduce stress and bring about healing and transformation. Cathy offers a gentle approach and an opportunity for people to connect to their physical bodies, connect to their feelings and emotions, connect to their creativity and connect to others in a safe and supported way. She guides people to find their own individual meaning so they can to heal and nourish themselves from the inside out.

Chakradance is a gentle guided meditation to music in a candlelit space. You can sit, lie down or move in your own way with your eyes softly closed. It a journey within and can help heal and balance the major energy systems in the body (chakras) improving your physical and emotional health.
Creative Journal Club from 12pm-1pm at Moat Theatre. This Club is open to anyone who is free to drop in, have a chat, tea or coffee and learn more about using a creative journal for self care and well being.
Relax with Reiki - This relaxing and healing evening will use guided meditation to beautiful music along with seated or lying down group reiki (energy healing). This is a really gentle way to support anyone who feels stressed, overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, maybe feeling lost/alone or those who have any physical conditions/ailments or for anyone just wanting some time for themselves.
Creative Mindfulness - Classes in 2020 to be confirmed. These sessions give an opportunity to practice mindfulness while doing a different creative activity each week. It is about tuning in and being fully present and aware of how you are while doing a creative activity. It can help to reduce stress and bring greater joy, calm and improved general health into your life.
