We are officially 4 years old!

Last month marks FOUR unreal years since we built our first saunas and brought it down to the banks of the river Boyne. Does anyone remember this old sauna?

What kicked off as a simple idea born inside a sauna, has grown into something none of us could have ever predicted. With six locations and a thriving Irish community, you’ve taken the sauna ritual and made it part of your lifestyle and it has been amazing to be part of that journey

Thanks for showing up, for backing us, and for being such a solid part of the Hot Box crew over the last four years.

There’s big stuff coming, and we can’t wait to share it with you all!

Why do we sauna - Ep 4.

This series aims to explore why sauna is important to us and all of the reasons we have made it a ritualistic lifestyle.

in Graigue we spoke to locals Hazel and Clinton who explain how they use the sauna both as a means to set yourself up for the day or to to wind yourself down in the evening.

There's something about taking that plunge into the river after your sweat, the feeling of conquering something before the sun comes up carries you through the day.

Last week some of our team travelled to Lithuania to learn and train in the ritual of Pirtis - if you haven’t heard of Pirtis, it is an ancient and traditional sauna ritual home to Lithuania that goes beyond your typical sauna experience, incorporating a full sensory journey.

Think heat, movement, whisking, salt and sometimes even honey 🍯

This trip marks the beginning of the journey this team have embarked on to bring you all something truly special at our newest location…
