I wanted to share my breakfast from yesterday and talk about a simple nutrition principle that has been a game-changer for my energy levels: "No Naked Carbs."
I was busy at the computer all day, and I knew I needed fuel that would last. So, what does "no naked carbs" actually mean?
It’s simple: you avoid eating a carbohydrate source all by itself. Instead, you "dress" it with protein and/or healthy fats.
On my plate:
✅ The Carb: Delicious puff-puff.
✅ The "Clothes": A protein-and-fat-packed stir-fry of eggs, cheese, and green peas (which also add fibre!).
The protein and fat slow down how quickly your body processes the carbs, which prevents a big blood sugar spike. The result is stable, sustained energy and focus, and you feel full for much, much longer.
It’s a perfect example of how you can enjoy the foods you love as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. It’s all about smart pairings, not cutting things out.
