J&L Healthcare Furniture is a family-run Irish business based in Navan, County Meath, with decades of experience in high-quality furniture manufacturing. Located in one of Ireland’s most well-known furniture production regions, we specialise in bespoke healthcare and medical furniture designed to combine durability, comfort, and functionality

Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team in Navan. This is a part-time, on-site role, with the potential to progress into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Upholstering a range of healthcare furniture to a high standard
Working with vinyl and other upholstery materials
Preparing and cutting materials as required
Sewing and fitting fabric to furniture frames
Ensuring all finished products meet company standards for durability and design

Requirements

Proven experience in upholstery and furniture crafting
Strong skills in sewing, fabric application, and finishing
Experience working with seating and various furniture types
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Comfortable with cutting and preparing materials
Reliable and punctual
Must have own transport

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in healthcare furniture manufacturing
Understanding of ergonomic and comfort-focused design
