Delicious Tea!! sage, honeysuckle, hawthorn and shepherds purse. Golden toasty, dreamy and that little flavour of Xmas from the sage. I love it. The first three I harvested from my garden and neighbourhood. All growing abundantly in Ireland at different times. The satisfaction of harvesting herbs in the warmer days and enjoying them in winter cannot be overstated imo 😄. Drinking warm healing herbs in the winter filled with memories of the adventures picking them. Herbal teas in bags are so expensive and can't compare to loose leaf and better again, hand picked.

Sage - cognition, menopause, cholesterol
Hawthorn - heart, cholesterol, anxiety
Honeysuckle - antioxidant, antiviral,
Shepherds purse - anti inflammatory, urinary tonic

Meadowsweet is in flower. The honeysuckle also in flower would give it a run for its money though. It's dreamy sweet floral scent is surely an aphrodisiac. 😁..yes back to meadowsweet. I previously posted about the willow and meadowsweet containing the raw version of aspirin. Well this lovely flower and its leaf is sooo tasty as a fresh tea And offers moderate pain relief. I am freshly inspired as it helped dial down my wisdom tooth pain from a 10 to 4 And it was no hardship drinking this tea with it's creamy mild flavour. While on my walk, I simply took a large flower head with 3 leaves, chopped it up roughly and brewed it like any tea the old style 😊 it's also good for general inflammation of joints. Weak stomach or ulcers, loose stool and heartburn. Nature says "don't be a stranger, I have everything you need"

Castor Seed Plant growing wild in Gozo Island, Malta. All parts of the plant are poisonous due to a chemical ricin. In spite of this the oil extracted from the seeds makes the very trending/popular castor oil. It can be used to massage into lips, face, hair, cysts, varicose veins, haemorrhoids. I was very excited to discover this plant growing wild and thought it looked like a rambutan fruit plant. Share your stories of how you use the castor oil.
