Health & Wellness Day Centre, Carrigoran Health & Wellness Centre & walled gardens, provides Day Care Services for older adults & a host of holistic facilities. Centre available for hire also.

Charity Number :CHY5840 Set in woodlands in Co. Clare, Carrigoran House has a long tradition of embracing the ageing population of the surrounding area. Carriogoran’s unique origin and involvement on older peoples services started in the early 1970’s when an older lady knocked on the door of Carrigoran House seeking help. At that time it was a novitiate house for the Sisters of the Incarnate Word who were training sisters to work on the missions. Its long term care facility has been described as a ‘Home away from Home’ for over 100 residents. It also provides supported accommodation in its assisted living apartments & chalets. Our purpose built Health & Wellness Centre & its Heritage walled gardens, provides Day Services for older adults and a myriad of other additional facilities. In line with Department of Health & HSE policy to sustain people at home, the Centre, via its Day Services offering, enhances the quality of life, health & wellbeing of over 100 people in the community. Services include:
• Day Services for Older Adults, including Hairdressing, Beauty & Chiropody services
• Health & Wellness programme
• Health Screening
• Computer skills room
• Exercise programme
• Music & Entertainment
• Education & Training facilities

The Centre is also available for private hire for individuals / groups

Carrigoran House Day Centre are hosting a Senior Citizens Information Event on 22nd August from 1pm to 6pm @ Carrigoran Health & Wellness Day Centre, Newmarket on Fergus. The Aim of this event is to help our Senior Citizen Community and their Family answer any questions they may have in relations to finances, homecare packages, Nursing Home applications, Fair Deal applications and other resources that would benefit them . This is a free entry event and all are welcome. So if you or a family member, relative or friend have questions, this is the event for you.

With Christmas getting closer, there's a lot going on over the next few weeks.
There's music as always in Shannon Springs Hotel / The Old Lodge Gastro Pub tonight, tomorrow & Sunday.

Maia - Purposeful Play have their last play session in Shannon tomorrow and there's also a Christmas Bazaar out at the Health & Wellness Day Centre, Carrigoran.

Next Thursday Clare Leader Forum have a book reading of "We are Human Too" in the library (Clare Libraries).
St. Patrick's Comprehensive School also have their Christmas Market on the same night, so make sure to pop down for some Christmas Shopping and scacks.

Last but not least Irish Blood Transfusion Service are in Treacys Oakwood Hotel next Monday & Tuesday, so if you haven't already booked, please do so as stocks are low.
