Our podiatrist was delighted to be a speaker at the in Liverpool last week!
Sarah presented ‘Orthotic Interventions: A Strategic Approach to Alleviating Forefoot Pain in Athletes’. From current literature, and her own clinical experience, Sarah created an evidence-based strategic management plan for treating forefoot pain in this population.
Sarah and thoroughly enjoyed this insightful conference, and hope to bring new information into their clinical practice this week!

This Saturday 25th of November, our brilliant podiatrist MH Pilates, is speaking at a free Library event in Ballybane Library on 'Foot Health'.

She will be covering a range of topics from footwear, blister management, how to recognise the signs of common foot
problems and much more!

This free event is open to all and is hosted by Galway Public Libraries as part of Healthy Ireland at your local library programme.

Delighted to have my little sister Maeve join the Momentum Foot and Ankle team! She will be working with us on Saturdays 🤗

Maeve graduated from the University of Galway with BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine in 2020. She has recently completed her Masters in Science and Health Communications from Dublin City University

In her free time Maeve plays soccer with St Patrick's CYFC and draws. You can see some of her artwork in the clinic!

We are very proud of our brilliant Podiatrist MH Pilates for taking part in the panel discussion “Why do girls give up sport?”. She was asked to be part of the discussion because of her knowledge as an MSK Podiatrist, Pilates Instructor and her Masters in Health Promotion. This is a topic we are very passion about at Momentum Foot and Ankle Specialists.

She featured on a panel with Carol Keenan, Player Development Manager for the Ireland Rugby Sevens and Life Skills Advisor for Sport Ireland, Dr. Mary McGill, PhD, Journalist, and author of The Visibility Trap: Sexism, Surveillance, and Social Media and Karen Concannon, Galway Sports Partnership and it was moderated by radio presenter and producer Barbara Nic Dhonnacha.

This hugely successful event looked at topics such as the influence of social media on participation in sport, the impact of injury, and the importance of non-sporting interactions, as well as examining some of the actions which have been taken by sports groups to encourage continued participation, the discussion was engaging, informative, and inspiring.
