Our wonderful HCA Anita is doing a 24 hour sleep out on Friday night with her group of scouts, all in aid of Focus Ireland! Anita would be delighted with any donations made through this link as it goes to a fantastic charity that helps homeless people, families and children all around Ireland. Well done Anita, always thinking of those less fortunate ❤️

It has been a busy few days… we had the pleasure of hosting a special party for one of our beautiful ladies, some residents enjoyed a shopping trip to Dunnes while some ladies enjoyed chatting and people watching at Ballykisteen hotel. There was games and baking, treats trolleys and exercises and lots of time spent outside! We are loving the October strolls in the cold sunshine 🍂 🍁

We had the most wonderful afternoon yesterday when we welcomed the Uber talented Dee Morrissey to our home to entertain our lovely residents. And what an evening of singing and dancing we had… Dee kept the floor rocking all afternoon. A big thank you to Dee, our residents absolutely loved you and can’t wait to welcome you back again soon. An afternoon of making wonderful memories together ❤️

Today on international day of the older person, we came together to celebrate the incredible lives, wisdom, and resilience of all our residents.
They are the heart of our home — each with a lifetime of stories, love, laughter, and lessons to share.
Each resident has their own story to tell and today we honor their journey, their strength, and the invaluable role they each play in making St.Anthony’s their home away from home.
We celebrated the day by coming together, being active and enjoying our time together as a group ❤️

Our wonderful HCA Clionadh is raising much needed funds for Pallasgreen LGFA ahead of her upcoming participation in the Quid games later this year. Clionadh has enlisted the help of Jane from Irish Wolfe Yoga and together they are organising a Yoga Disco…. Yes you read that right, a Yoga Disco at Pallasgreen Community Centre on Friday October 17th at 8.30pm. So get practicing those moves, the downward dog is sure to come up!! Neons, sparkles and all things shiny are encouraged! Tickets are €15 and are available on the night with refreshments being served afterwards! Please bring your own mat!!! The most beautiful bride 😍 a huge congratulations to our stunning colleague Rachael on her marriage to Diarmaid yesterday. A big thank you to Rachael for making all our residents part of her big day when she called in on her way to her wedding venue. The ladies were blown away by her! We had watched the wedding ceremony live on the we**am before donning our hats and a glass of champagne as we awaited the brides arrival at the castle. She was simply stunning, bringing a tear to many eyes. Rachael and Diarmaid, we wish you both nothing but our best wishes for your future ahead. A beautiful day for a beautiful couple ❤️❤️❤️❤️

A big happy birthday to the beautiful Noreen today… a beautiful, kind, gentle and honest little lady. Noreen is loved by all who have the pleasure of knowing her…she is quiet by nature but loves a good chat and to reminisce about times gone by. Noreen loves to get a walk in and enjoys seeing others happy. She has the most beautiful smile that lights up every room she enters. Happy birthday Noreen from all you friends and family here ❤️

Did you ever see anything so sweet… the beautiful bride Audrey, came to our home with her new husband, Brian, to cut their wedding cake with Audrey’s dad John so that all our residents could enjoy a slice of cake! What a wonderful gesture from the newly weds which made her Dad so proud! Everyone loved their slice of cake, it made us all feel like we were at the wedding. Thanks Audrey and Brian, you made our day. Enjoy the honeymoon ❤️💙

We had the absolute honour of welcoming Tipperary U20 star Adam Daly along with the cup he and his team mates won in the All Ireland final against Kilkenny last June. Adams proud granny Rita watched on as he show cased the silverware to the big Tipp contingent here. A big thank you to Adam for taking the time out of his day to come and see us all… there were lots of happy Tipperary people in the house afterwards and there were a few well known songs heard belting out around the place ( we had to be careful not to upset the Limerick and the Kilkenny crowd 😂)!! I’m sure it’s not the last time we will see Adam visiting with silverware in his hands… well done Adam and best of luck for the future 💙 💛 💙💛
