Introspect Counselling

Introspect Counselling A Dublin based Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice

People typically come to see a counsellor because they have problems or difficulties they would like to discuss with someone who is unbiased and impartial, someone who is not going to judge them. Going to a therapist means that you acknowledge that you have a difficulty in your life & that you would like to deal with, rather than letting it get worse or pretending that it does not exist. It takes great courage to arrange a visit to a therapist/counsellor, and indeed to take the first steps through the door. Remember; counsellors are people, trained with skills which can be helpful in dealing with a wide variety of difficulties and so it does not matter if a counsellor has not themselves experienced these same difficulties in order to be of assistance. Respect, understanding, empathy, acceptance and a willingness to being truly ourselves in the Counselling relationship are the cornerstones of our service.
