Connecting with craft and activities were these participants at the Willow Weaving workshops in Mountrath and Abbeyleix Libraries.

Its great to concentrate on something like a craft and to think of nothing else but the moment for a while. This event was organised by the Sports & Leisure section of Laois County Council.

Connecting with nature on the Laois Connects and Climate Action team wellness walk around the wonderful Emo Court and Parklands.
The guided walk was led by Neil Dennehy with plenty of stops to appreciate the beautiful surroundings on a gorgeous day! A leisurely walk that fed all the senses.

Director and writer of movie "The Sparrow" , Michael Kinirons speaking with Michelle De Forge , Dunamaise Arts Centre, discusses the making of the movie, the themes within it and more to an audience of Transition Year students. The students asked some very good questions of the director and a really good q and a session took place. Thank you for giving your time Michael and to the Dunamaise Arts Centre for organising and hosting the event.

The Sing for Joy Choir have a performance in St Mary's Hall, Portlaoise at 11am on Wednesday the 9th October for Laois Connects.
Sing for Joy Choir, now in it's ninth year, is an inclusive group, catering musically for persons with a wide range of special needs. They attend with their carers from a wide range of care facilities. Their aim is to provide, once each week, an opportunity for all to enjoy great company, music, song, friendship and relaxation while learning and gaining confidence. They also also appreciate the contribution made by each member, either individually or collectively.
