If your Quadratus Lumborum (QL) is always tight or sore… the real issue might not be in your back at all.

👉 The QL often picks up the slack when the glute medius and minimus (your side-hip stabilisers) aren’t doing their job.
👉 That means the QL gets overloaded → stiffness, pain, and even referral trigger points into the hip.
