Dr Peter Clare Counselling Psychology & Psychotherapy

Dr Peter Clare Counselling Psychology & Psychotherapy I am a Doctor of Counselling Psychology offering individual counselling from my therapy rooms at 28 Baggot Street Lower, D02 NX43

I am a clinically trained Doctor of Counselling Psychology. I have experience working with adults who have experienced trauma through insecure attachments and abuse from childhood; difficulties with grief and loss; mood and anxiety disorders; personality and self-identity issues. I have worked using an integrative framework with people coping with bereavement, existential crisis, relationship bre

ak-ups, and low self-worth or self-esteem. I use CBT and solution focused strategies in tandem with humanistic-existential-psychodynamic research informed theory and clinical practice to aid people in their transition from experiencing poor mental health to that of wellness, acceptance and transformation.

I concur with my colleague Dr Sean O'Connell that Christmas can be a time of joy for many and equally a time for sorrow and pain. Be mindful of those people who find it especially difficult to cope at this time of year.

Christmas can be a lovely time, but it can also bring with it a range of difficulties. Please see the list below and share if you think someone might benefit from seeing this pop up on their news feed.

Each has a freephone number all day, all year round, even during the night or at holiday times/weekends. I really like the Pieta House website, but the main thing is that you get that extra support when you need it. Also remember that childline is for individuals up to 18 years old.
