25/12/2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we take this opportunity to look back at the highs and lows of the year gone by. Like so many of the families that we were privileged to deal with, we too lost one of our own in the early part of the year. Tom (R.I.P.) was a loving husband, dad, grandad, brother and uncle but he was also a great friend to so many. Over the years he done his best to help families as they dealt with bereavement and we can truly say that when his turn came, his friends, our friends and the whole community repaid his kindness many times over. Our Christmas Day is going to be very different this year, the void is very evident, but we take great solace in the fact that he was part of our lives for so long and his legacy can and will be seen for many years to come.

We hope that like us, you, the families that suffered a loss during 2025 can also look back at the good times, the fond memories made and the happiness that they brought to your lives. Wouldn’t it be so much worse if we didn’t miss them?

As we do every year, we simply ask if you know someone who recently experienced a bereavement, please reach out to them over the Christmas period. It is such a joyous time for many but it is also such a lonely time for some.

On that note, we take this opportunity to wish you all a very peaceful Christmas and a healthy 2026. We also want to sincerely thank you, our friends, for the kindness shown to us in 2025.

Finally, to all the families who entrusted their loved ones into our care in 2025, we thank you sincerely for the privilege. We hope that in some small way, we made a difficult time a little bit easier for you and your family.

The Smyth Family.
