The death has occurred of Veronica Payne (née Fitzsimons)
Rush, Co. Dublin and formerly of Old School House, Cloghran.
10th January 2026.

Veronica passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the the exceptional care of the staff of AnovoCare, Cloghran. She is predeceased by her parents Johnny and Essie, her sister Eileen, and her brothers Christy, Charlie, Johnny, James and Thomas.

A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Veronica will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Sam; her loving children Samantha, Adrienne, Sam, Philip and Raymond; sons-in-law Barry and Pat; daughters-in-law Jo, Emer and Gillian; her treasured thirteen grandchildren and her great-grandson. She will also be fondly remembered by her brother Liam, sisters May, June, Ann, Theresa and Philomena, her nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.

John passed away peacefully in his 79th year, surrounded by the caring team at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Raheny. Predeceased by his beloved parents Kathleen and Patrick “Flash” O’Connor, his brothers Paddy, Charlie, Bernard, and sister Catherine.

Deeply missed by his loving brothers and sisters Marie, Noreen, June, Elizabeth, James, Peter, Joseph, Paul and Martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
