Here is what you need to enter Portugal:

All travellers aged 12 and older must provide ONE of the following documents:
- Proof of full vaccination. Two doses are also okay as long as the second one was administered no more than 270 days ago, otherwise a booster is required. (Children under 18 are considered fully vaccinated after 2 doses and this does not expire, therefore they don’t need a booster).
- Proof of recovery from day 11 after the first certified positive test and up to 180 days after the sample date.
- Negative result from an antigen test taken no more than 24hr before departure or a PCR taken no more than 72hr before departure.

Children under 12 are exempt.

We have been getting a lot of queries about travelling to the USA. Here is what you need to know:

First of all, you are required to have at least 2 doses of your vaccine + a certificate of a negative covid test* taken a maximum of 1 day before departure**

*we recommend an antigen test as it is quicker and cheaper
**it is not 24hrs, but one calendar day before departure

OR

If you have at least two vaccines and you have previously tested positive (antigen or PCR) we can issue a “Fit to Fly” letter, which is accepted instead of the negative test.

In order to get this “Fit to Fly” letter you need proof of a certified positive test:
- If you were asymptomatic, you need proof of a positive test taken no more than 10 days ago. It is valid for up to 90 days.
-If you were symptomatic, the symptoms must have had started at least 10 days ago with a positive test result received at least 6 days ago. It is also valid for up to 90 days.

The test must be from a certified clinic or the HSE, a self-administered test is not accepted. Note that a HSE text message is not accepted either, as it does not provide your full name nor the type of test taken.
