Since Roaring Health Centre closed it's doors back in March we have been busy in the garden and enjoying some quality time as a family. We look forward to keeping you updated on our garden journey 🌱
Due to the current Covid 19 government guidelines on close contact profession's our in person practice will remain closed for patients until July 20th.
Or until we receive updated guidelines.

Nona Taylor and Oonagh are currently offering telehealth & Zoom consultations.

Just a quick announcement, our resident acupuncturist and Chinese medicinal herbalist, Nona Taylor is offering a FREE demonstration on Saturday the 28th of March at 11am GMT about how to apply self moxibustion to boost the immune system and our natural defenses along with some general health advice.
Moxibustion is an ancient Oriental technique of burning a medicinal plant close to or on the skin to augment our chi/energy which in turn strengthens our defenses against illness.

"We will start the session with a 10 minute guided meditation practice just to set out with a nice relaxed atmosphere 🧘♥️ And then, I will go through anti-viral foods, where to buy them and how to prepare them. As it is a Facebook live, you will be able to ask questions during the live by leaving comments in the video thread.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join all you have to do is tune into my page: theanxiousfoodie and the live video will appear at the top of my feed from 11am.

Although this is a free event, feel free to make a donation if you like. During these troubling times, small businesses like mine need your support. But no pressure.

So, what's the craig with coffee? Is it good or bad?

The answer is: it depends.
Coffee is high in antioxidants, essential nutrients (vitamin B2, naicin, B5, magnesium and potassium). In addition, studies suggest a link between coffee consumption and improved cognitive function and reduced risk of developing alziemers, dementia and depression 🧠🤯 However, it also increases adrenaline levels which although is great for waking you up, can worsen symptoms of panic and anxiety. Combined with sugar it can cause physical symptoms of palpitations, increased heart rate and stress sweating. 😥

It's important to see what relates to you personally when making dietary and lifestyle choices. Something can be extremely beneficial for one person and detrimental for someone else.
