When it comes to headlice prevention is always better than cure. 🪲
Headlice are extremely common in young children and most parents will encounter them when school starts back up!
If you suspect your child has headlice it is important to wet comb the hair and identify lice or nits before treating.
The chemicals in headlice shampoos can irritate the scalp and should only be used when necessary.
If your child has lice, check other members of the family as they may also need treatment. 👨👩👧👦
You can ask our pharmacist for advice if you are unsure how to treat the family, under 2s and pregnant women may need to discuss with their GP before treatment.
We recommend using Dr. Lice tea tree oil spray in the hair before school, clubs and sports as it is said to deter lice!
or washing the hair with tea tree shampoo and conditioner if their has been a recent outbreak in you child's class.🧼
