I am trained in a Yoga style that's called Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow but I have, of course, been influenced over

the years by some of the other wonderful yoga styles in existence. I now provide a teaching flow that allows a complete beginner to ease comfortably into the practice whilst also offering more challenging poses to the seasoned practitioner. The practice of Yoga in general provides a student with the opportunity to bring awareness to their physical body through breath while switching off from the workings of a busy mind. It can, therefore, be used as an active meditation bringing one to place of calm self-acceptance in difficult times! But in addition, with continued practice, the rythym and flow of the Vinyasa sequence can help to raise ones energy as it becomes a dance-like uplifting routine. For Sports Conditioning and Recovery...

The practice of Yoga in the style of Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow incorporates a focused physical practice that is synchronized with the breath. This combination benefits every area of the body by bringing healing oxygen deeper into muscle tissue than would otherwise be possible. Muscle tone is improved and the rate at which you recovery between sporting activities is increased. With continued practice you will notice your body correcting its own postural misalignment's and this will result in reduced injury potential. Recovery postures incorporated into the practice are designed to re-align the body and release tension from over worked muscles. A regular Yoga practice brings additional benefits... improved digestive function and a release of tension from key muscle groups of the chest, shoulders and neck area can help regulate mood and enhance concentration. The result is a finer athlete capable of greater endurance and a calmer approach to most daily activities.

Sleep disruption, nausea, exhaustion, voice changes… sound familiar?

Earlier this year, a woman I’d met previously came to me for one-to-one support. We had spoken years ago about her sleep issues and night terrors, which had worsened since COVID.

She’d been attending yoga and found some benefit, but the symptoms kept coming in waves.

In 2024, I refocused my teaching around Nervous System Reset, naming it clearly. The clarity helped me, and it helped people find what they needed.

Around the same time, she changed GP. Her new doctor listened deeply and saw what many miss her symptoms pointed to a nervous system stuck in dysregulation.

He saw:
•Sleep disturbance
•Exhaustion without illness (fight-or-flight)
•Nausea and stomach growling (vagus nerve overdrive)
•Hoarseness of voice (vagal tone issue)

He recommended medication, herbs, and specifically suggested she seek out movement and breathwork to help her reset.

She booked a Therapeutic Yoga Massage. After hearing her GP’s insights, I guided her through a session focused on nervous-system-aware yoga, breathwork, and vocalisation. She slept deeply that night.

She kept practicing and the improvement has continued.

As Prof. Andrew Huberman recently said, the vagus nerve isn’t about “relaxation.” It’s about regulation. It too can be in overdrive.

The practices I teach create healthy vagal tone. They bring you back from both underactivity and overdrive.

This kind of dysregulation isn’t solved through the mind alone.

You have to move. You have to feel. You have to reset.

🗣️ My next Vocal Vagus Workshop is on 16th August. Booking is now open through the Yoga and Sauna page, live link in my BIO. https://www.yourwellbeingwarrior.com/yoga-and-sauna/

This picture has been on my mind lately. We still don’t know what my sister was praying for, maybe patience!! More likely a miracle to get me off the bike faster.
I’m the one on the back, my brother steering. Honestly, not much has changed.
A recent family trip brought this moment flooding back, sporting activities, dining out, sibling laughter that makes no sense to anyone else in the room.

Years after this photo, grieving the loss of my fiancé and questioning my career in pharmaceuticals, I told my mum I wanted to leave my job.
She didn’t flinch. Just said, “Whatever you have to do to be happy.”

That gave me the freedom to heal and the space to change everything. I began exploring yoga, the science of wellbeing, and eventually founded a charity.

Every penny I earned went back into training or the cause.

My family didn’t always understand what I was doing, but they trusted me anyway.

My sister and I? We fought like wild things through our teens. Now she’s the one who knows how to put me back together.

Not everyone has that kind of support. I’m in awe of those who’ve changed their lives without it. But I want to honour what held me: quiet words, long-game patience, and the kind of fierce family love that lets you go your own way, and welcomes you home again.

It’s been ten years since that career break. Nine years of Your Wellbeing Warrior. I've taken this time so you dont have to. Its the work that fuels me and yet i still feel like im just getting started :-)

April 12, 2025 – Pink Moon in Libra

This Pink Moon in Scorpio isn’t just about petals, it’s about power. Let go, rise again.🌕

Though the Pink Moon gets its name from the wild phlox of North America, here in Ireland it aligns with the blooming of primroses and bluebells. It symbolizes awakening, renewal, and the soft, fierce and relentless power of nature re-emerging after winter’s stillness.

🔮 Astrological Insights (Libra Full Moon)

This year’s Pink Moon rises in Libra, with Sun in Aries forming an opposition to the Libra Moon it’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Stirring deep emotions and calling for a final release and allow space for what's ready to Bloom.

🌕 Ritual Idea: Water Release Ceremony

Tap into Scorpio’s water element with a simple ritual:

1. Place a bowl of water under the moonlight.
2. Write what you’re ready to let go of so that there is space for the New.
3. Sink the paper in the water, maybe use a stone and leave in moonlight overnight.
4. The next day you can dry the paper and ideally burn it. Then with intention and love pour the water into the earth.

A gentle way to Let go & rise again.
