Please contact for group yoga or private classes tailored to your specific needs and goals Yoga is for all ages and I firmly believe that we can start at any age. Our growing children undergo rapid changes in their physical bodies during adolescence. Issues of flat feet, knock knees, poor postures due to anterior and posterior pelvic tilts and low bone density are common among teens. Early intervention with yoga and exercises will help avoid pain and complexities in later stages. A regular yoga practice helps to address prevalent issues like back pain, joint pain, anxiety, high blood pressure, weak immunity, weight loss/gain and hormonal changes affecting women. Private sessions help to focus on individual goals for flexibility, strength or meditation in a calm and comfortable environment. We concentrate on mindful movement and posturing, helping to learn the basics with proper alignment and also to advance our yoga skills. My passion is to help you lead a healthy and happy life through the practice of yoga asanas, pranayama techniques, meditation and good lifestyle choices. Yogic practice enables one to improve flexibility, strength, coordination, mental concentration and relaxation. Classes are tailored for your individual needs. Absolute Beginners are also welcome ! About myself:
My yoga journey started in the US at a local gym. Besides hiking, yoga helped me to remain active during the snowy winter months of Utah. As I started realizing the benefits of a regular yoga practice, I registered for Yoga Teacher Training at the Integrated School of Yoga, Salt Lake City (integratedschoolofyoga.com). On completion, I started teaching private and group yoga sessions. My daily practice deepened and I got curious to delve more into yogic tradition in its original form. So I moved to India and enrolled in a 2-year Masters degree in Yoga and Nature Therapy from Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University with theory and hands-on classes at the esteemed Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre (www.andiappanyoga.com). To inspire children to get involved, I got myself certified in Kids Yoga and understanding more on Yoga for Teens. It is my sincere interest to pass on this treasure and be of service to you in your journey for a quality life with positive physical and mental health. (The light in me bows to the light in you)
