Foundation course in Herbalism & the Holistic Arts 2026

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and experience the magic of herbal healing with the foundational course in Herbalism and the Holistic Arts 2026.
The aims and objectives of this 4-year part-time foundation course designed to provide students with a solid foundation in herbalism and the holistic arts, preparing them for further study or professional practice in the field are:
On our Foundation course topics covered include...

Plant Identification
Plant constituents and their uses
Basic Anatomy and Physiology
Basic Aromatherapy
Plant Harvesting
Tincture making
Drying Herbs
Using herbal teas
Making cleaning products
Making Creams, Ointments, Lotions Making and using Floral waters
Making and working with Flower essences
Growing Medicinal plants
Understanding illness and Disease
Working with case studies
And more fun than you could imagine. All classes are on Sundays, one class a month, and a delicious vegetarian lunch is included. The dates for these classes are

March 8th
April 4th
May 10th
June 7th
July 5th
August 9th
September 6th
October 4th
November 8th


You will have Homework and assignments to complete before the following month's class.

Plants are sensitive to touch. They grow more robust tissues (stouter, more resilient) when stroked. Scientists even have a word for it: thigmomorphogenesis. What gets me is that gardeners have known this all along! My grandma taught me to stroke tomato plants to keep them from getting leggy in the greenhouse. Scientists ascribe it to immune activation. They claim its a defense reaction to stress. But I'm pretty sure its caused by love.

Our taster course in Herbalism and the holistic arts ( over 3 consecutive Saturdays)
May 9th, 16th and 23rd

Our annual open day

“Connecting with your Spirit guides”
A basic shamanic practice workshop ( dates coming soon)

Working with the Tarot workshop
( dates coming soon)

We also have our Grow your own medicinal garden workshops

Our medicinal plant nursery will be open!
