A lot has been going on these past few weeks. Lots of making and preparation. But finally, I feel like I have caught up with myself.
As with everything that's going on lately, there has been a massive jump in the cost of sourcing the high-quality oils and other materials I use and because of this I've had to do a small price increase on most of my handcrafted products.
I hope you don't mind too much, and I will also be removing a few different products off the website soon. Don't worry, all your favourite salves and balms aren't going anywhere!
I just feel like I need to focus on what I love doing & what resonates with me.
In light of all of this, I hope you have been enjoying the autumnal weather as it's been a gorgeous few days.
There are so many berries on the trees still, and the haws are huge this year and so bountiful. The fields around here are lined with berries in a sea of red, as is the garden with rosehips and the last of the elder.
I'm still getting a basketful of Calendula most days! It feels never ending harvesting their gorgeous orange flowers and now having a pocket full of seeds to continue on next year 🌿💛

Morning spent filtering local medicinal beeswax 🐝💛 liquid gold!
Since I started making, I have always needed to know where my oils and beeswax comes from.
I'm doing my best to source the most pure medicinal ingredients as I can that I can't produce myself.
This can sometimes work out costly.
But I refuse to use less.
I remember once I bought beeswax online and it was definitely not skincare material.. even though it was advertised as food grade.. it's still here sitting in the bag.
My aim is to always create fully traceable local skincare. 🌿💚

Autumn is definitely here, and I can even know by what's been ordered the last 2 weeks or so!
Immunity is down. People have sniffles and blocked noses. Coldsores and other skin issues are making a reappearance.
Skin is dry, nose and throat are dried out due to heating & fires being lit inside homes again. Coughs have started as the body produces more mucus to help with the dryness.
It all comes down to the seasons, always has and always will. Seasonal remedies for seasonal ailments.
