Is gaining muscle mass and preserving bone density more important than "losing weight and toning up". Looking and feeling better is a common side effect of being fit and healthy.

Focus on your health and the side effects will come. Get some exercise in daily. Remain active outside of exercise in your daily life. Eat a diet that supports your health. Get good quality sleep. Reduce your stress where possible. Make sure to do some form of strength training to load your muscles and bones to stimulate muscle mass, preserve bone density, and joint health. Deterioration in health over time is not inevitable.

The Jefferson Curls- a great exercise to stretch every segment in your spine and release tension in the back. To do it correctly, make sure you start with tilting the neck down moving all the way down to your lower back. Perform this exercise gently and with control.

The Back Fit program is designed by a Chartered Physiotherapist, providing you with safe & effective exercises to help with back pain and prevent it from reoccurring.

Back pain can be a serious problem and require immediate medical attention if any of the following signs exist:

- Numbness or lack of sensation in the saddle or genital/anal area.
- Bladder or bowel dysfunction
- Pain or pins and needles down one or both legs radiating below the knee
- History of spinal fusion
- Significant trauma

If you have back pain but none of the signs listed above or any other 🚩flags listed in the terms, then we have the long-term answer for your back pain.

We recommend that you are generally healthy and consider discussing your intention to exercise with your doctor if you answer YES to any questions on the "PAR Q".
