As my glass shines a wonderful rainbow on my table this morning I am reminded of a little saying:

everyone wants happiness,

With over 20+ years in nursing, I have gained a broad and in some areas specialised knowledge of peoples diagnisis, and the impact of living with a difficult chronic condition. My experience ranges from working in acute medical assessment units, paediatrics as a school nurse to A&E, ICU, Cardiac and gynaecology . In my years if experience either as a nurse or acupuncturist, the results of acupuncture for stress can be amazing.
Stress, belongs to life, but its how we deal with it that matters. The constant exposure to perceived high stress or tension does have a biological impact on the body. As a consequence a state of 'dis-ease' can ensue. If chronic enough, it can become the bodies new norm operating at a different level of health that allows you to just get on with things and live your life. Acupuncture is a way of changing, restoring and assisting you and your body to a better state of health in as little as one hour.

In the ebb and flow of life we are sometimes the giver, the supporter and the one someone can lean on. At other times, we are the receivers and lean on someone else too. I cant stress how important this bill is in it's current wording NOT to ho through. It's been done very quietly at the top, so to me there has been very little transparency. The woman pushing this is a pharmacist by trade. There is bias here. It affects a truck load of freedoms, speech, information, choice and they are fundamental to our humanity, never mind anything else. It is of the utmost importance that people are safe, all medical practices should be safe. That includes decisions based on truth. This bill is anything but that.

A bill sponsored by Fine Gael TD Kate O Connell TD which is now part of the government legislative pipeline, proposes to ban the promotion of cancer treatments that fail the tests set by current medical knowledge, writes Eddie Hobbs.
