That was one of the toughest, and best learning experiences ever. β¨οΈ
Tough because I am learning from some of the world's best coaches and athletes.
Tough because I felt like a white belt once more, except this time I have 19 years of judo behind me, and i still felt like a white belt - very humbling. π₯
Tough because of the heat, the language barrier, and the injury I incurred just before I came π«£
Tough because I've never trained on my holidays, because i had to leave my family twice daily to attend the course and I had to wrap my head around that. π
And yet, it was so satisfying to do.π
It flipped my whole philosophy of judo coaching on its head. I now see a more clear framework for coaching judo, building my practice, and living life. π
It connected me with some great people from all over the world. People travelled from Canada, montinique, Netherlands and france to be here. I realise I am not alone and I am not doing anything special in trying to understand life at a deeper level.π₯°
It showed me that I have so much more growth in me, in judo, in coaching and as a person. π
I couldn't have done it without all the support.
Thank you to and Guy Delvingt for incredible depth of wisdom. Thanks to Anaysi Hernandez for being a guest coach and sharing your fantastic judo. Thank you to Isabelle and Vincent for translating to English, thank you to each Uke from all over the world for showing me better judo , Thank you to for your support in getting me here....and thank you to , , and Juliette for being the most incredible family a man could ask for π
