By encouraging clients to view their sand tray story from different angles supports cognitive flexibility enabling clients to consider alternative interpretations or solutions.

Viewing the tray and the story held within from various angles can help clients construct and reconstruct their narrative based on new perspectives and awareness.

The process of moving around the Sand Tray and viewing their story held within from different angles brings awareness to the relationship and dynamics at play between symbols, offering new insights from a different perspective.

📖Just finished reading Mindfulness for Compassionate Living, by Dr. Patrizia Collard in preparation before commencing my post grad in Mindfulness next month. I think this is a real pretty book a nice coffee table book, it would make a lovely gift. I received it as a gift from a student cohort recently 💕This book is a gentle guide that merges mindfulness practices with the principles of compassion. The book is structured to help readers develop a deeper understanding of both concepts and their significance in everyday life.

⭐️Dr. Collard begins by explaining the fundamentals of mindfulness—being present and fully engaged in the moment—while also addressing the importance of compassion for oneself and others. She emphasises that cultivating compassion can lead to improved emotional well-being and healthier relationships.

⭐️The book includes a variety of practical exercises, meditations and reflections, which I really liked, designed to help readers implement mindfulness and compassion into their daily routines.

🌈Key themes include recognising and managing negative thoughts, fostering self-acceptance and understanding the impact of compassionate actions on one’s community.

Throughout, Dr. Collard draws on current research and her own experiences to illustrate the benefits of mindful living. The aim is to empower readers to create a more compassionate world, starting from within.

👌This book is a gentle read, with beautiful illustrations suitable for anyone looking to deepen their mindfulness practice or seeking tools for greater self-compassion and empathy in their interactions.
