Start of another week - always find the first day back in the pool tough mentally - I know this is normal for me - finding it hard to get in but normally after the first 30 mins I’m ok - just need to push through and get in and keep going - this is the mental training - always feel so good after when it’s done - thanks to for the company which makes it easier to know that there is 2 of us in it

A letter of thanks was awarded to Ciara Dolan, Fenit RNLI ALB & ILB volunteer this morning and presented to her by Fenit RNLI volunteer crew member Caroline Corkery.

Fergus Kelliher, the Lifeboat Operations Manager of Fenit RNLI, also expressed his sincere gratitude for Ciara’s outstanding service and dedication.

Ciara’s contribution throughout 2024 and 2025 was invaluable to the station. She was a committed volunteer and crew member whose professionalism, teamwork, and generosity of spirit greatly supported our lifesaving work.

We are deeply grateful for everything she has given to Fenit RNLI, and we also extend our thanks to her family and friends who supported her during her time with us.

Ciara is now heading to brighter pastures in her full time ecology role. While she may be moving from the lifeboats to a shore-based position, we are delighted that we are not losing her entirely and look forward to seeing her continue to make a positive impact in this next chapter.
